I love anything Irish, so this was a no brainer for me when I purchased it. However it has sat on my Kindle for nearly 18 months, and for some reason, i never got around to reading it.
It popped up on the front page of my kindle a couple of nights ago so I dug into it - since it was St Patricks' Day and all that!
What I loved:
I loved the setting, the house on the hill by the ocean. I could just picture it in my mind and I wanted to live there.
Megan not giving up her family legacy, and not selling the house she inherited
Her friend Beata - what a foul mouthed spitfire she was
What not so much:
The bad guy. Hmmm, well even though he tried to cause her trouble, he just seemed pretty weak to me. Not so bad at all really
LOVED the "other guy" Paudie.
While the ending was quite predictable, it was the journey we were lead on to get there. It was sweet, it was fun, not angsty.
It was a sweet book, the first I have read of this author, but I will probably get round to reading more in the future.
