ARC received for an honest review.

I have read and enjoyed Ms Turner's Bayou Stix series so the chance to read the first in her new series James Black was a no brainer for me.

James Black is the Hollywood superstar that every woman wants - except one.

AJ - who he thought was going to be a man - takes an instant dislike to the man when she first meets him. And I have to say I don't blame her.

He is an arrogant man when it comes to women, and I cheered for AJ as she gave him what for.

You know where this is going right? Dislike turns to lust turns to like turns to love. There is nothing new or exciting in the plot line. We have all read the rock/movie star-wins-normal-girl/guy story before.

AJ is the star of this book, not James Black. I could love him or leave him. AJ is sassy, smart mouthed, but stronger than she looks. I cannot blame her for her anti-man feelings, why she has trust issues with people.

So, can AJ and James get over their differences and their issues and make a go of a relationship? Will they find love? Can they have a HEA?

Nope for that you need to read for yourself.

I love the imagery that Ms Turner puts into her writing. I could imagine myself looking over the river and the swamps, looking at the Capitol building in Baton Rouge (this little Aussie was there a few months ago!), the sights and sounds of a sound stage.

There is another James Black novel coming (Becoming James Black) but you can read this as a standalone.

Force of Attraction is the second book in the K-9 Rescue series, but can be read as a stand alone.

Cole and Scott have history. Sexy history. It has been 2 years since their relationship imploded, and now that their worlds have come together again, you just know from the beginning that things are going to be interesting!

And wow, they are. As much as this book is about the attraction between Cole and Scott, there is so much more going on around them.

They are whisked into a world of drug trafficking, the agility dog circuit, bikers and undercover police work (yes, I know, a real mixed bag of things!!)

I felt like there were 4 main characters in this book. Hugo and Izzy, Cole and Luke's police dogs, both play such huge parts in their stories. I think Hugo may have even stolen the limelight a bit!

There was some mystery and intrigue throughout this story, and while I could kind of figure out how things would end, I was on the edge of my seat to see how things could happen.

All in all, I really did enjoy this book. It did make me look at my own dog though and think "look at you you lazy old lump of a thing!!"

I have really enjoyed both of the K-9 Rescue series by D.D Ayres, and I look forward to more in the future.

If you have read the first two books in this series, you will already know a bit about our man Denver and his lust for Cherry.

Well, fasten your seat belts and keep arms and legs inside the carriage, as you are about to get taken on one heck of a ride!

Denver Lewis has been pining/lusting/drooling/panting over Cherry Peyton since the first time he saw her, and finally, FINALLY a move is made... by Cherry!!

You know what I really liked about this installment of the Ultimate series? Our main characters got together early on in the pieces. None of this will they or won't they bizzo - since it has kinda sorta played out in the previous book. Nope, they get things sorted pretty early in the piece - thank you Ms Foster!

But while they do get it on early in the book, there is so much going on around Denver and Cherry that will keep you intrigued. Lots of suspensey kinds of things that are going on, things from Cherry's past that are coming back to haunt her.

I love that this series is not all about the MMA fighting. Yes, all our hotties are MMA fighter, but they are so much more, and so are their stories. Don't get my wrong, I love watching MMA! But these guys are sexy, smart, funny... did I mention sexy? And what I think is one of the sexiest things about them all is the care for each other and they way they all look out for each other.

You can't help but fall in love with all the guys and gals. Especially Armie. What are we going to do about Armie? He is just the best. He is rude and crude.. and we love him for it. I wish it was his book next.

Not that I am complaining though as we get Stack and Vanity next, and man oh man the build up to their story. You just know it is going to be steamy.

Now, off to Youtube some MMA to get my perv on!

Oh boy, I fell in love with Damien and Nikki in the Stark series, and I am loving this spin off series. If you haven't read any of the previous books, it does not matter, but why would you want to miss out on any of the sexiness.

And boy, is Jackson Steele sex on legs! From the minute we first meet him, going back 5 years, there was just something about him.

Sylvia has has some terrible things in her past, and they are still affecting her today. I just wanted to hug her so hard when we find out what has happened. I could completely understand why she does what she does, but doesn't mean I have to like it lol

When their worlds collide again, you just know there are going to be sparks. But are they going to be good or bad? Secretes and lies are never good in a relationship, no matter what the reason for them, and this pair have them in spades.

Sylvia - if you don't get your act together and make Jackson yours, I will gladly take your place!!

As we learn what happened 5 years ago, I could understand why they were not together. But then I got the sads, as I thought about how perfect they could have been for those 5 years if they were together.

But then we wouldn't have the sexiness of them working things out now, Gah!

Say My Name is a sweet, sexy but at times sad story of a second chance at love, and I loved every second of it.

I hope it is not too long before the next books, but now I need the next book, as I neeeeeeeeeed to know what happens with Jackson and Sylvia. After the ending we just got, there are so many questions I need answered

I loved that we got more Damien and Nikki and get a bit of a look at how married life is going for them, as well as little bits about other characters from the Stark series.

You need to have read the first two books, Night Owl and Last Light prior to reading After Dark - review may be a bit spoilery if you haven't!!

I love those mornings when I get an email saying a book I have been impatiently waiting for is available for me to read.

And boy, was I impatient for After Dark! After the way Last Light ended I needed to know what happened next.

And as with this whole series, what you expected is not always what you are going to get.

After Hannah's proposal at the end of Last Light, things are going to be easy for her and Matt - right?

Nothing in their relationship has ever been sweet and easy, and we are again taken on an emotional rollercoaster as Hannah and Matt struggle with the every day.

More than once - well truthfully, most of the book - I wanted to slap some sense into our wonderful Night Owl. The way he treated our little Bird frustrated me, angered me, made me sad. I know it is how he has always been, but OMG it was ramped up to the max here!

There are plenty of emotional moments in Last Light - some expected but some completely blind sided me! Like a punch to the gut, completely took the wind out of my sales.

So can their lives back in the limelight be happy times, or will they be too much for our lovers? Will their love survive?

Nuh uh, for that you are going to have to read this series for yourself.

Oh, and I have to say that I really enjoyed the epilogue!!

I have been drawn into this series from the minute I first opened Night Owl. I have anxiously awaited each new instalment, needing to know what was going to happen next. Thank you M. Pierce for bringing Matt and Hannah into my life.

Now this series is over (sad face), I am looking forward to what we get next.

I read book 2 of this series (The Music of Temptation) before I read The Science of attraction, so I was already curious about Kate and Tom.

And I was so glad that I went back and read book one.

The Science of Attraction is one sexy, smouldering read. I am not one for the insta-love relationships. Insta-lust, yeah, we have all been there, but I loved the burn of Kate and Tom's relationship.

I gotta say, Kate's "friend with benefits" and boss Rob is a douche. I could not like a thing about him (not that I think we were supposed to!) and there was nothing redeeming about him to me!

When our lovelies do their thing - get ready for an cold shower, or even an ice bath, because things are HOT HOT HOT! They are like a pair of rabbits, always at it, here there and everywhere! But there is so much between them besides smoking hot sex. Their conversations are full of witty banter, double meanings and innuendo.

To put it plainly - I just adored them!

I have to say, I need to find one of these sexy "nerds" for myself - though I am sure they only exist in my books and in google images!

Thank you Ms Jacobs for the chance to read your book.

I have adored Laurelin Paige's writing since I first stumbled upon Hudson Pierce (le sigh) in The Fixed Trilogy.

The Found Duet series is a spin off of The Fixed Trilogy, and it is a great new series.

We were introduced to Gwen, Norma's sister in the Fixed Trilogy. She had a life before working at Skylaunch, and this is it.

JC is the man who gets her worked up from the first time she sees him, feelings she has not felt in a long time. He's sexy, arrogant - and wants her. She may be all kinds of uptight, but he thinks he is the man to loosen her up.

Boy oh boy does he loosen her up.

And when they loosen up together - holy hotness Batman! Sexy as all hell!

Both Gwen and JC have things in their past and their present lives that hold them back from really feeling, and as we learn more, yes I could understand it, as much as they frustrated me with their flip-flopping.

I wanted nothing more than for our lovelies to get properly together, just knew that they are perfectly imperfect for each other - but really, who wants perfect and easy?

The interactions bewteen Gwen and JC are intense, sweet, sexy, sad. The storyline is emotional, with a bit of suspense. Just what we have come to expect from Ms Paige.

There is not a cliffhanger per se, but the end of Free Me left me wanting, no, needing to know what happens next.

4.5 stars

Cherry Kilgore - AKA Cherry Tart. Secretary by day, stripper by night.

After being humiliated by a man when she was in her teens, Cherry decides that two can play at that game, and becomes the ultimate man eater.

As her alter-ego Tart, plus sized beauty Cherry owns her curves, and works them as a stripper. Never letting a man in for more than one night, she has lost the sweet girl she used to be, and has pretty much become queen bitch.

Her well-to-do parents, who have never made her feel that she is good enough, despise her work and the "shame" she brings down on them. She has no real friends except her boss. But being alone isn't all that bad, is it?

Enter Mr Green Eyes, Kellan Morgan. The second he sees her dancing, he is hooked. He can't get enough of her, needs to know her. Needs her.

Neither of them is looking for love, but here it is, smacking them in the face

When their worlds collide outside of the strip club, this is when things get interesting. The sexual chemisty between these two just steams off the page. And the sex is hot hot hot!

I love that Cherry owns her body - yay for no stick insects!! She is content with who she is and makes it work for her. There is one scene in a cafeteria that had me with the pom poms out cheering away!

Cherry is no easy pickings for Kellan, if he wants her, he is going to have to work for it. And work at it he does. He has never had to work this hard for a woman before.

Of course, the road to true love is never smooth. Cherry and Kellan have their fair share of ups and downs. There are lost messages, miscommunications and misunderstandings that all shape their story. At times I wanted to slap either one or both of them and tell them to get their act together!

I love how well they play off each other, can read each other so well after knowing each other for such a short time. They are smart, witty, sexy, funny, they made me LOL and made my heart break for them. I loved how they are normal - so many books these days either one or the other of the main characters are so over the top that there is no way any of us would know them in real life, but with Kellan and Cherry, they could be our friends or work colleagues.

I also would love to know more about Trace, Cherry's business partner and oldest friend. I would love to go back through their friendship to see how they got to where they are today.

And then there is Jasper, the new business partner. I think we NEED to know more about him!

I completely enjoyed every last word of Cherry Tart, and look forward to reading more of Scarlett Jade's work.

I always knew that it was going to take quite a woman to tame Rowdy St James but Salem was so much more than I expected.

I love a second chance romance, and while this wasn't technically what theirs is, I loved the back story and how their lives again became intertwined.

I am going to miss these Marked Men when this series ends

Shania Ridgeway has been in love with David McCullen since she the day she was born.

David has been wrapped around Shania's little finger since the day she was born. Now he feels more for her than he thinks he should, and doesn't know what to do with it.

She has saved herself for him, and on her 21st birthday throws herself at him, and he agrees, but they have to play his way. But things get a bit out of hand, and the decisions they have made have consequences.

“I have loved you all my life,” she whispered, “and I will love you until the day I die.”

There was a couple of scenes here with Shania and David that are gut wrenching and heartbreaking. As I was reading I felt "was that really the way things had to go?" but as I read further on, these scenes were necessary to set up the rest of the story.

Shania moves to work in Greece, and the imagery Ms Lovely puts into the Greek scenes were beautiful, and made me want to go there.

Shania takes life by the horns as she grows both personally and professionally. Though some are not happy with this happening.

From the day she arrives, Shania is at risk from someone, for reasons unknown. We are swept up in the mystery and intrigue of this risk, which also brings us in contact with the two big and sexy security guards, and her personal security, Stephan.

But who can Shania trust? You will question the motives of everyone around her if s the story sweeps you away.

Who could want to harm her? I kind of figured out about 2/3 into the book the person behind the dramas, but the whys and hows of it all was quite unexpected.

There is light BDSM in It Was Always Her Choice, but this is really secondary to the adult romance.

I was a big cheerleader for Shania and David's relationship. Can time be enough for Shania and David to come back together and find their happy ever after?

Uh uh for that you are going to have to read for yourself.

This is Suzanne Lovely's debut novel, and it is a wonderfully written tale that sweeps you away between the USA and the Greek Isles. It has a beautiful storyline, is well paced and had me flitting between heart warming and heart breaking. It has just enough mystery and intrigue, love and lust and had me hook, line and sinker right to the end.

I look forward to reading more of Ms Lovely's work in the future.
