What a fun, enjoyable read Lingerie Wars was!

Ex English soldier Lake Benson moves to Invertary, Scotland, where he has bought his sister a lingerie store which she is running to the ground. And there is another lingerie store right across the road.

Here is where the fun and games begin.

The town is not big enough for 2 stores, so a Lingerie war is declared, a no holds barred, free for all.

Kirsty is the beautiful, ex model owner of the other store.

The attraction between Lake and Kirsty is hot, their interactions hotter.

I loved the secondary characters in Lingerie Wars - though Rainne, Lake's sister, needed to grow a backbone and stop letting everyone walk all over her.

Add in a venemous 80 something woman, a group of middle aged knitters with a liking for a bit of subterfuge and illegal activity, a town full of characters, and you have the makings of an a fantastic little read.

This is the first in the series, and I look forward to reading more!

3.5 stars

21 year old designer Erin Angelo is living the dream in Milan.

23 year old Alek Dostov the wunderkind of the music world, The Maestro, and infamous playboy.

Both emotionally damaged by their past, can they overcome this and be happy?

The Prelude was told from duel POV's which I quite enjoyed, and was done better than some I have read.

A few things though left me shaking my head thinking 'what the?'

Alek changed from playboy to a one-woman man in the blink of an eye, which just didn't feel realistic. A slow change would have suited better.

And don't get me started on Erin's "Reckless me" and "righteous me". I am all for inner dialogue, but these annoyed me much as the Fifty Shades "Inner Goddess" did!! Just - don't!

I could totally understand Erin's reluctance to let anyone into her heart - though the high school ex-boyfriend was probably superfluous. And I like they way she tells people where to go - she's got a smart mouth on her! And her first couple of interactions with Alek were both funny and cringe-worthy.

Overall The Prelude was a pretty good book, but it just left me wanting.... something.

But I will read more in the series.

Ravenous is a sweet, sexy novella about first love, love lost and love found.

8 years ago Jesse left his home town for bigger and better things, leaving Erin behind.

Will time and distance make their love die, or were they meant to be.

This is a quick read that is a great way to fill in an hour or so.

I did enjoy the local references, having been to the places Eden Summers is writing about, and I feel that it gave me a bit more enjoyment, being able to picture the places.

I look forward to reading more of Eden Summer's work

Reading the synopsis of Hell's Knights, it looks like it is going to be just about hot biker sex.

While yes, this is part of it, Addison and Cade's story is so much more.

Addison has had a life that would better be forgotten. Dragged into the world of sex and drugs by of all people her mother, things around her change when she is 21.

Hurt, scarred and alone, but tough as nails, she turns up on the doorstop of the Hell's Knights motorcycle club, where her absent father is the President. She sure is a force to be reckoned with. Sick and tired of always being told what to do, she will take it no more. She is feisty, smart mouthed and full of fire. A couple of times I just wanted to roll my eyes at things she says and does, but with her background her actions are pretty understandable.

Enter Cade - 100% alpha biker male. Rude, crude and tattooed, he is also protective, caring and sweet. He gets what he wants - and he wants Addi.

The more you learn of Addison's past, the more your heart just breaks for her. How could someone who has been so broken get up each day and carry on?

Cade has his own demons he is fighting, however he can't help but be drawn to Addi, and he helps her draw strength from what she has been through, and will do whatever it needs to do to help her move forward.

Some of the secondary characters really stood out from the rest. Jackson, Addison's father, steps up to the plate and goes all papa bear to protect her from club business and her past. Watching his relationship with Addi bloom is heartwarming.

We also learn that a lot of what Addison has been lead to believe about things in her past did not happen as she thought. What a mind F*&k some of those are to her.

And then there is Spike. Nicknamed for reasons you will need to read to find out, he has had tragedy losing his pregnant wife in a horrible. This sets up a lot of the story for book 2 in the series.

If we thought Hell's Knights was hot, then Heaven's Sinner is an inferno! My kindle is still smouldering!

Heaven's Sinner is Ciara and Spike's story, which was alluded to in Hell's Knights.

Ciara has, and always will be in love with Spike. They were best friends as teenagers, but as neither of them wanted to ruin their friendship back then, she never said anything or made any moves about it. Then Ciara's sister Cheyenne starts poking around in the relationship, and when the perfect opportunity arises for Ciara to declare her feelings, she doesn't
do it and practically pushes Spike into her sister's arms.

Spike (and you are gonna love why he has that nickname!) always loved Ciara, but after years of her not seeing it, he decided he had to move on. He is all bad ass hot alpha, but he is broken. He feels guilt for the death of his wife and child, but also hurt and betrayed by the one person he felt he could always turn to - Ciara.

Ciara has always had an inferiority complex when it comes to her sister, which is also perpetuated by her parents. Feeling completely humiliated by Cheyenne and Spike, she runs away, and be the time she comes back to try and clear things up with Spike, he has married her sister.

Hooley dooley did Heaven's Sinners bring on the tears. Both Ciara and Spike are heartbroken, and though they know they are not good for each other, they cannot stay away. When they finally have it out and get everything out in the open, it is just gut wrenching. So much love, so much guilt, so much hurt on both sides.

I also love that Spike likes the kink. We saw a bit of it in Hell's Knights, but it really comes to the fore in this book. And I love how he sees that Ciara likes it too and brings it out in her. As bad as they think they are for each other, they are exactly what each other needs.

We get more of Cade and Addi, we meet Muff - I am sure you can guess where he got that name. Then there is Jackson, sweet Jackson. Who also likes the kink. And there are some hilarious scenes with that!

I didn't think it would be possible, but I loved Spike and Ciara's story more than I loved Addison and Cade's!!

Bella Jewel had me from the first chapters of the first book. I love her writing style, and she had me up until 2am as I could not put my Kindle down once I started reading.

Could you have a future with someone, if that person caused the pain of your past? Could you wipe the slate clean and make Amends?

Amity Dormer has been relentlessly teased all through school due to having a slight case of cerebral palsy, and now a senior she is counting down until she can leave town for college.

Laird Conroy is the only son of a Hollywood mogul.

The grew up only a few miles from each other, but their lives are world's apart.

Their world's collide in the worst way when while arguing with his crazy as hell girlfriend (she is a few sandwiches short of a picnic!!) Laird is involved in a car accident which results in the death of Amity's mother.

Laird and Amity's upbringings are so different, but the situation they are currently in is very similar, with Laird recently losing his mother.

Skip ahead a few years, and Laird and Amity's lives intersect again. Her life has been all struggle, his has been easy street in comparison.

They are instantly attracted, but will that be enough if/when Amity finds out who he is??

Written in dual POVs, we learn more of what both Laird and Amity have had to do to reach this point in their lives.

I like the premise of the book, what would you do to make amends for your past actions. Laird only has the best of intentions when he befriends Amity, even though at times it may not feel that way. He started the relationship with his lies, but I liked being in his head to know how he is dealing with his guilt. This kept me more in the story than Amity's POV, but I enjoyed both sides.

There were a couple of plot twists that I am not sure whether they added to the story or not. Yes, I could understand why they were put in there, but did they add anything - hmm not sure. I feel that they could have been left out as they were dealt with in other ways. But this may just be me.

Also, Amity's Cerebral palsy was such a big part of her high school years, but in college it is not an issue for her. Is this because of life experiences and the fact that she is more mature, or is it for some other reasons? I felt this could have been dealt with a bit more.

Overall I really enjoyed Amends, and I will definitely by reading more by Shanda Fisch.

why did I take so long to start this series??

Have you met the men of Corps Security yet?

Cage is book 2 in the series about the super hot, super sexy alpha security men. I thought Axel was hot, but damn. Cage will set your knickers alight!!

We first met Greg Cage in book 1 - Axel. He is the ultimate big brother type - super sweet, super protective. He's like a big ol' teddy bear - with guns! He will stop at nothing to protect those he loves. You do NOT want to poke the bear!

Now that his best friend is getting married and no longer needs his protection, he is at a bit of a loss.

Until he meets Melissa. In her he sees someone who needs him, and who he needs.

Melissa has had tragedy in her past, an unknowingly (at first) her and Cage's pasts intersect. Things that were hinted at about why Cage is the way he is are played out in full.

The instant attraction between Cage and Meli makes you want to get in there and must make it happen, even though she balks at his advances. For a while anyway.

I love that Melissa is not some whimpering, simpering, pathetic girl. She is tough as nails and will bring it if threatened. She will fight for herself and her family till the sun goes down.

Add in Mandy, Cage's ex bed-buddy. She is just a big old bag of crazy, and I really did not think she was gonna give up. Get a grip sunshine! I really, really did not like her one bit.

The scene stealer in the whole book is Melissa's nephew, Cohen. He is just adorable, and a bit of a cock-blocker to boot. Almost everything I highlighted while reading were his scenes

Cage's actions with Cohen are wonderful, and but there are definitely a few times when Cage said and did things that made this happen **ovaries explode**

The supporting characters in Cage make the story well rounded and sometimes just laugh out loud hilarious.

Sway with all his glittery goodness is just what the boys need with all their seriousness.

The tension between Dee and Beck is palpable, and WTH is going on with Maddox?

I guess we will all just have to wait to find out.

I have had this sitting on my Kindle forever to read, and thought I had better pull my finger out with the release of White Trash Damaged upon us!

I am a fan of Teresa Mummert's work, and this is a lot different to other books of hers I have read.

Teresa Mummert takes us on a journey where a small town girl meets a worldly rockstar. Sparks fly and we are taken on an adventure.

Cass works in a diner near the trailer park where she works, supporting her drugged out mother and deadbeat boyfriend.

This is her world, until Tucker White walks in the diner. And with that he goes straight onto my book boyfriend list.

I totally got an Adam Levine feel to Tucker through the lyrics/songs he sings, and it was not until after I had finished reading that I saw that he was her muse for him. Can totally understand why Cass was under his spell (have met Adam and he is divine!!)

I totally wanted to bitch slap the mother and beat the crap out of the boyfriends.

But like it says, it is not always rainbows and butterflies in life, and things need to take their course.

I felt that the end was a little rushed to get closure on a few things, but I am sure they will be dealt with in White Trash Damaged.

Great way to spend a couple of hours

If you have not read Forget Me Not - never fear. Lily of the Valley runs parallel, but from Jack's POV.

Jack has never felt wanted, needed or loved. Leaving the small town where everyone knows him and his past (mother dead, father in gaol), he works his butt off at school and the rest of the time at a local diner.

Then he meets Lily. He immediately pigeon holes her with all the other girls around school. Just another princess there on her daddy's money. He is ready to love her and leave her.

But there is something about her that draws him in, and he needs to know more about her.

Jack comes from a place of darkness. Lily is the light he is drawn to. Their relationship moves at warp speed, and is hot as hell!

I loved that we learned more about Jack's relationship with Alana, his best friend. She is the one he calls when his head is in a bad space. But it was worrying how quick she would be to follow him to that bad place.

Their relationship is very complicated, and they bring out both the best and worst in each other, ripping each others hearts out before putting them back in place. I have to say that I shed a couple of tears with some of their confrontations.

And then there is their friend Dave. I am hoping we get a book about Alana and Dave in the future!

Jack and Lily's relationship had some ups and downs, and do they get their HEA? For that you will have to read for yourself.

I gotta say that Jack, I would not kick you out of bed for leaving crumbs! A night with his toy box - who wouldn't want that!!
