I have not read the previous books in the Harborside Nights series, but this did not take away from Tempting Tristan at all.
I love a story about military/ex military man (or anyone in a uniform) ... and a broken down military man who needs saving... yes please!
Alex is all that and a bag of chips. Sexy, brooding - and totally wanting the hot bartender.
Tristan has had a rotten run with rotten boyfriends and has pretty much given up... until Alex.
The attraction between them if off the charts, and while I am all for the insta-lust in relationships, I am not a fan of insta-love.
And Tristan and Alex certainly moved along at warp speed. It felt like it went from "Hi my name is" to "I want a HEA with you" in 4.5 seconds (or a week in their time).
Don't get me wrong, I did like them together, I loved that they are finally taking that step with each other, trying to find their happy place.
But I did feel that Tristan did all the giving. It might be just me, but it felt like Tristan did everything while Alex just took from him? But that may be just Tristan's nature and he wouldn't have it any other way?
I don't want to make is sound like I didn't like Tempting Tristan, because I did. I just felt like it was missing that extra something that I usually get from a Melissa Foster novel.

I was late to the party with Ms Mason's Christmas series, so it was great to come to the Harmony Harbor series right at the beginning.
It is always hard with the first book in a series to draw the reader in. There can be too much or too little information about people and places, it might not catch the reader's interest etc etc.
But there are not such troubles with Mistletoe Cottage. Right from the start I was drawn into Sophie and Liam's story, wanting to know about them and their past together.
I was intrigued by the family dynamics between their families, the dramas, the gossip - all the fun stuff that comes with living in a small town (believe me, I live in a town where if you sneeze, the town gossip has you dying in hospital!).
There is a bit of mystery running through the story, wondering who the good guys and the bad guys are.
But the scene stealer in Mistletoe Cottage is Sophie's little girl Mia. I couldn't help but smile at the scenes she was in.
Mistletoe Cottage is a sweet second chance (kinda sorta) romance , just the thing to get me in the mood for Christmas.
There are some great secondary characters that I can't wait for their stories.
Now I am waiting waiting waiting to see what Ms Mason brings us next.

Joel who? I am all about the Tommy Boy now!
This prequel to the Panty Whisperer series was a fun, sexy, steamy quick read, and it has left me wanting to read the PW series again.
Set back in the early 90's, Tommy and CC's story left me feeling with its pop culture references!
I adored Tommy and CC, and for such a quick read, Tommy Boy sure does pack a punch! It took some twists and turns that I definitely did not see coming!
Can't wait to see what Mr Howell brings us next.

We're back to Vermont and the Shipley Farm... and this girl is excited to be there.
This 3rd book in the True North series is a bit deeper and darker than the first two. There is still plenty of fun and laughter and playful ribbing going on, but Lark and Zach's pasts are not all rainbows and lollipops.
I adore them both - especially the little twist in their tale. Two broken souls searching for happiness... and perhaps finding it in each other.
I adore everyone and everything about the Shipley Farm. I love that blood is not the only thing that makes you family with them. They are amassing a great big extended family around them, and their hearts just get bigger with each addition..
Plus, who wouldn't want to hang out there with all those hotties? Semi-naked apple picking anyone?
Keepsake is a beautiful, sweet, sexy story full of sadness and happiness, light and dark. I loved being taken on the journey with Lark and Zach as they search for their HEA.
Now I can't wait to see what Ms Bowen brings us next.

Yaaassssss!!!! From the moment I finished reading Banking Her, I have been impatiently waiting forever (WELL, not really forever, but it seemed long enough) for Scoring The Billionaire.
And it was worth the wait.
Wes and Winnie's story was full of snark and sex, heat and spark. They can bicker like an old married couple, but fighting is foreplay for this pair.
There is the lure of the forbidden, since Wes is her boss, but that doesn't stop them embarking on some sexy times.
The scene stealer in this book is definitely Winnie's little girl Lex. OMG my heart just melts in the scenes with Wes and Lex.
I loved that it wasn't all insta-love. Yeah I can cope with insta-lust (we've all be there, right) but I loved that Wes and Winnie had to fight to move towards their HEA.
But to find out if they get there you are going to have to read for yourself.
I love love love the rest of the Bad Boy Billionaires and their ladies. I love the banter between the boys, and OMG I laughed so hard at and with the ladies. I think that this needs to be made into a HBO series!
I laughed, I cried, I smiled so hard my cheeks hurt whilst reading Scoring the Billionaire. I can't wait for the novella (but I don't want it to get here at the same time as I don't want this series to end.

Although this is the second book in the Austin Arrows series, it can be read as a standalone (but why would you want to miss a minute of Rush!!)
Kaufman runs along the same time line as Rush, so as well as getting Spencer and Noelle's story, we get to see Rush and Ellie's story from the perspective of others, which is a bonus.
Spencer Kaufman is just fiiiiiine. Sure, he is a hockey hottie who could have any woman/puck bunny he wanted, but he is not that kind of man (cue me singing - badly - not that kind of girl by Anastasia ♪ ♫ ♩ ). Did I just show my age there?
Noelle is the girl (well, woman) he has known since they were kids. She is quirky and fun - and is the only one who really sees him.
And holy heck the mother pucking heat between them could melt the ice!
Noelle really is a lucky, lucky woman (and I may have replaced her with myself in this story!)
I ran through the full gamut of emotions with Kaufman - happy tears, sad tears, anger, love, laughter, all wrapped up in a wonderful Nicole Edwards story.
She has hit the puck right into the top shelf with Kaufman, and this has become one of my favourite Nicole Edwards books.... so far!
I can't wait to see which Arrows player we will get next - and wish that we had a proper ice hockey comp here in Australia

This Jackson and Sylvia novella sure packs a punch for a little story!
So much has happened/is happening to our lovelies since the end of their trilogy.
If you remember the trilogy, you will remember that Sylvia's dad is in gaol for killing the guy that abused her as a kid. Well, just when you think that is the end of all that - you thought wrong!
It is quite an emotional short story, when I laughed, I cried, I wanted to throw my kindle across the room in anger... but most of all I felt love for Jackson and Sylvia and their little family.
Now I am impatiently waiting for Damien and Nikki's next installment.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked up Jed Had To Die. I have loved what I have read of Ms Sivec's work previously, but reading the synopsis, this one had a different feel.
This story had the perfect amount of laughter, wit, snark, sadness, mystery and intrigue. A whodunnit who had the reader wondering right to the end.
And then there is the nerd-turned-hot-cop Leo Hudson. Humina humina
nbsp;
I love that he has grown from the nerdy guy to "Hot Guy" but isn't all over alpha-y with it. He is still the same guy - in a buffed up body.
I adore Payton. I felt for her with the way people in Bald Knob (snicker - I am a 12 year old boy at heart) treated her on her return. Unless you have lived in a small town, you have noooo idea what it is really like, and I live in a small town! I adored how she stood up for her friends, didn't worry about making enemies to protect those she loved. But also wanted to be liked at the same time.
The story flowed seamlessly, I never knew from one minute to the next which direction Ms Sivec was going to take us. #PIE

Firstly that cover - what is it about the guy undoing his cuffs that is so damn hot???
Secondly, it has been a while since I picked up a Katy Evans book, and what a way to jump back on that wagon!
Mr President has a JFK Jr feel to it, and even though I am not at all political, it made me want to go and vote (and I am not even American!!)
Charlotte - I really liked her, liked that she did what she wanted to do, not what her parents wanted her to do. She is the daughter of a politician also, so she gets what it's all about but was never going to get into politics... until Matt.
I loved that they had the connection from when she was just a kid, that they remembered, that they still felt the connection as adults.
But grrr I wanted to slap some sense into both of them. I could understand why things were the way they were, but both of them wanted it different and did nothing about it! I wanted to slam their foreheads together or lock them in a room until they figured it out... though the locking in the room thing may not have worked in the right way :D
It's Complicated would really be their Facebook relationship statuses.
There is plenty of sexy time with this pair. Like a packet of Pringles - once they pop they can't stop!
I kinda mighta swooned a little bit over Matt. Don't look at me that way, you will too when you read him! There was just something about him that I just can't get enough of.
But just when you think things are coming to a head.... BAM

But never fear, it is not long until we get the second and final book, Commander in Chief.
But it will still feel like too long to me, as I neeeeed to know what happens with Matt and Charlotte!

Yes!!! It has been a long time coming for Dirty, but boy was it worth the wait.
You will need to have read (or re-read) the first book in the series, Raw, before picking up dirty otherwise most of it will not make much sense.
This is not a hearts and flowers kind of story. There are no bluebirds of happiness flying around while our couple falls in love.
Dirty is just that. It is raw. It is dark. It is gritty. And to me it was perfection.
You will/should remember Julius and Ling from Raw - Twitch's best friend and the .... enforcer I guess you would call her? Let's just say that you wouldn't want to be on her bad side!
Alejandra - or Ana as she goes by - what a brave, strong, incredible woman. Growing up in the family she did, there was no way things were ever going to be easy for her. But through it all, she kept her head held high, no matter what it might have cost her.
And Julius... sigh. Yes he has done/will do bad bad things, but beneath that exterior is a kinda swoonworthy guy. Not in our regular fairytale kind of way, but in a he's-hot-but-he-scares-me-but-I-want-him-anyway kind of way!
But can they overcome everything that is thrown at them and find a HEA?
For that you are going to have to read for yourself.
Although this isn't Twitch's story, he is heavily represented in Dirty, with great up to Raw: Rebirth which returns to Twitch, Lexi and AJ's story.
And I Can. Not. Wait.
