The Season: Kaufman
by Nicole Edwards
Although this is the second book in the Austin Arrows series, it can be read as a standalone (but why would you want to miss a minute of Rush!!)
Kaufman runs along the same time line as Rush, so as well as getting Spencer and Noelle's story, we get to see Rush and Ellie's story from the perspective of others, which is a bonus.
Spencer Kaufman is just fiiiiiine. Sure, he is a hockey hottie who could have any woman/puck bunny he wanted, but he is not that kind of man (cue me singing - badly - not that kind of girl by Anastasia ♪ ♫ ♩ ). Did I just show my age there?
Noelle is the girl (well, woman) he has known since they were kids. She is quirky and fun - and is the only one who really sees him.
And holy heck the mother pucking heat between them could melt the ice!
Noelle really is a lucky, lucky woman (and I may have replaced her with myself in this story!)
I ran through the full gamut of emotions with Kaufman - happy tears, sad tears, anger, love, laughter, all wrapped up in a wonderful Nicole Edwards story.
She has hit the puck right into the top shelf with Kaufman, and this has become one of my favourite Nicole Edwards books.... so far!
I can't wait to see which Arrows player we will get next - and wish that we had a proper ice hockey comp here in Australia
