I thoroughly enjoyed reading the first book in this series, Chasing Happy, so it was a no brainer when it came to reading Acting Happy. You can read this book without reading the first, but why could you want to miss out on the goodness?
What an adorable book. Ty and Kenzie are two people who you wouldn't expect to be together if you looked at them on paper.
But you never know what is behind the facade, what people are hiding behind their smiles.
From their first flirtatious meeting, I just couldn't get enough. I read with a smile on my dial as they took those steps into a relationship.
My heart ached for Kenzie as we learned more of her past, but it soared as she overcame it all.
I simply adored Ty's band of brothers - they are a motley crew but they are just the perfect group of friends.
Acting Happy is a fun, sexy, flirty read that I just didn't want to put down once I started.
And I can't wait to see who's story Ms Roberts brings us next!

I am not usually a cover whore, but man there is something about a man rolling up his shirt sleeves that is HOT
*still staring at cover.... armporn* Wait, what was I saying?
Oh yeah, Stuck Up Suit. What a sweet, sexy funny story this is. From the minute we meet Soraya on the train avoiding Mitch with the Itch (you'll understand when you read) I didn't want to put this book down.
Graham is the arrogant business man on the train that captures Soraya's attention. And captures her heart before she even knows him.
For all his arrogance and gruffness, I couldn't help but adore Graham. I just knew that there was a kind, loving man underneath it all.
And when that man came out to play - SWOON!
There was a character that I really, REALLY wanted to climb into my kindle and bitch slap. Ugh, she was just a 100% grade a b!tch who I despised from the start, but who made me hate her even more as the story went along (the author can usually let me find at least one redeeming quality when they are like that but no, not this one!!)
I LOVED the texting between Soraya and Graham - funny, sweet, sexy, often all at the same time.
Stuck-Up Suit was a great read, and I hope these two ladies collaborate on more stories in the future (and give me more #armporn on the covers!)

A new series from Zara Keane - woohoo!
I have beeb a fan of Ms Keane since I first came across her Ballybeg series, and this new series has captured my imagination right from the start.
We quickly met Lar Delaney back in the Ballybeg series, and I knew that his story was going to be intriguing.
And it was everything I was hoping for. I mean mob families, spies - what's not to love!
Lar and Moira/Gen's story was sweet, sexy, suspenseful, and I didn't want to put it down once I started (even though life got in the way and I had to!)
There was a great set up for the next book at the end of Final Target, and I can't wait to get my mitts on it to see what happens next.

I have adored all that I have read from Ms Bybee in the past, so reading her new series, 'Most Likely To', was a no brainer for me.
A Bybee book leaves you with a warm, happy feeling in your soul. You know what you are in for when you start, and she sweeps you away with the characters.
Melanie has travelled full circle - her high school class named her the most likely to succeed. But here she is, back home in small town River Bend and feels she is a disappointment.
It irked me at times that she was so worried about what everyone else thought about her instead of being the bright, vibrant woman she really could be. I wanted to tell her to snap out of it!
What and Melanie's first meeting is not conventional, but even with all that goes on, there is that spark of attraction between them.
Now, if only sassy Melanie can come out to play and do something about it!
This is told in dual POVs and a couple of times I did have to go back to see whose POV I was reading (at times their voices were not very distinct) but for the most part I loved getting inside both of their heads.
I adore, adore, adored Melanie's oldest friends Zoe and Jo - I really can't wait for more of them in the next books! - the banter, the love, the laughter the emotions that only those who have known each other for so long shines through.
What I was expecting, which we usually get with a Bybee story is a big WTF moment. But we didn't get one this time. There was a darker storyline for a bit, but not the "shake your head, what just happened" moment.
Doing It Over is a sweet, lovable contemporary romance, just what this girl needed after reading a string of darker stories.

Bring on book 2 - I need to know what happens with these characters!

Oh yeah, back to The Silo we go!
Woohoo the latest addition to the Wicked Horse series.
I really didn't know what to expect with Rand's story, but I knew that it would draw me in.
And did it what!
Rand Bishop - sweet, sexy fantasy maker at The Silo. Former Olympic Champion. And all around great guy. He has that protective nature, a bit of a white knight syndrome - but he is so much more than a white knight.
Cat Lyons - widowed, homeless and pretty much penniless. And the most captivating woman Rand has ever seen.
I just knew that these two were going to make quite the couple - I mean, come on, it's Rand! And besides Bridger, his is the story I have been most looking forward to.
We had glimpses of Cat Lyons (Vaughn) in the previous books, but she was certainly not at all what I was expecting. Her story is much sadder, darker than I thought it was going to be. My heart ached for her as we learned more of her past. But it was filled with hope as we saw her blossom.
There was a character that I just wanted to bitch slap from here till Sunday, but I won't tell you who or what or why - you will have to read for yourself.
Wicked Need is full of sexy, swoony hotness, that kept me captivated from the first page to the last. I read this in one sitting and now am impatiently waiting for the next story. I can't wait to meet the woman, man or whoever is going to bring Logan to his knees
... and then we will be that much closer to Bridger's story!!

Hockey hotties - yay!
You may have guessed by that right there that I am a sucker for a hockey player book.
I have not read the first book in this series, but this did not at all affect my enjoyment of Icing.
Icing is a sweet, sexy, adorable hockey romance that had me hooked from the moment I picked it up.
Duncan and Amber have trust issues, and as their story unfolds, they were completely understandable. I just wanted to give them both big hugs and tell them that there was no need to worry this time, we can all see how good they are going to be.
As well as a sweet and at times tender romance, Icing is hot and sexy, on and off the ice! There is a feeling of hope that shines through both our lovelies as their relationship blooms and grows (I felt like Maria von Trapp tying that!)
I couldn't help but adore "Farm Boy" and his team mates. They made me laugh, they made me sad, I loved their comradery, their banter.
Now I need to go back and read the first book, and look forward to what else it to come with this series.

What else needs to be said? It is a new Kylie Scott series - that speaks for itself!

Lydia Green's wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of her life - right?
When the poo hits the fan, she does the best runaway bride - EVER! I had the theme tune from The Great Escape running through my mind as she did her runner!
When she gets to the end of her escape - well, let's just say that maybe it is the greatest day of her life.
I love the cover and the blurb for Dirty, but I wasn't sure what to expect when reading it - other than knowing that I would like it.
There is just that something between our lovelies that I liked from the get go. Their "crazy at first sight" feelings for each other. The banter. They are funny, sweet, sexy all rolled up into one couple.
Their story is like watching a rom-com movie with your girls. You kinda know how the story is going to go, but are not sure of what the hurdles for the lovers are going to be.
It is a sweet story, but for me, it just lacked that little bit of oomph that I usually get from a Kylie Scott book. I think I wanted things a little more Dirty
I love the secondary characters and their loves and losses, kisses and fights.
And there is a cameo by my favourite drummer in there that put a smile on my dial!
Dirty is a great start to this new series, and I can't wait to see what happens next at the Dive Bar!

This is the only word required to describe Worth It All.
I have not read the first 2 books in this series (which I will be remedying soon) bu this did not affect my understanding or enjoyment of Worth It All
JT/Jake and Paige's story is just one of those perfectly sweet, lovely stories. No angst, no suspense. Just a beautiful love story to make you smile.
Jake is just too adorable for words. All about work until he meets Paige and her little girl Casey - now she is just a scene stealer! I loved the beautiful friendship that developed between JT and Casey. There is nothing sexier than a man who falls in love with a child as much as he falls in love with her mother.
I thoroughly enjoyed Worth It All, and can't wait see what happens with the McKinley's next

I have been impatiently waiting for Dallas Sykes story since I first heard he was getting his own, so it was great to wake up and find him waiting on my kindle.
Now, I am not going to lie. It did take me a while to get into Dallas and Jane's story. I am not sure if it was the book, if it was me, if it was my reading mood. But for the first 35% of the book I struggled. I struggled to connect. I struggled to keep interested. I struggled to keep reading and put the book to the side a few times and did other things. It was a case of "oooh look, shiny things" and off I went - which is all the more reason I think the funk was my reading mood!
BUT once I got past that part of the book (and out of my obvious funk!) I didn't want to put it down.
Dallas has always been the sexy, uber-rich playboy around town, but as we scratched the surface, found out more of his a past, what happened with Jane - well, my heart ached for them both.
I was expecting a sexy read with a bit of suspense, but Dirtiest Secret is so much more. It is dark, it is gritty, it was suspenseful. Secrets, lies, deception - oh what a tangled web we weave people!
I could feel the UST between Dallas and Jane fly off the pages. They want each other. They need each other. They can't have each other (for reasons you will understand when you get reading!)
I just so badly want them to have their HEA - but I know that this isn't going to be easy and it isn't going to be quick - this is the first book in a trilogy so my head knows I will have to wait, but my heart doesn't.
Please Julie, don't make me wait too long for the next book - after the way you ended book one I am on tenterhooks waiting to see what happens to our lovelies!

I have adored all the Dare books that I have read before this one ( I have missed a few, but they can all be read as stand alones) and I really do adore this series.
Tyler and Ella's relationship is complicated and they just don't know how to deal with it. They have been standoffish with each other since an incident years back, and now that they are thrown back together they need to sort out their past to have a future - but will it be together??
Dare to Take has a bit of everything. Sexy, sweet, a bit of suspense thrown in for good measure.
Tyler and Ella's relationship is like the hurricane the went through on that island. Stormy, passionate, a force to be reckoned with.
Sadly, this is the last of the Dare series, and I felt a sad about that - but knowing there is a new series in the wings helped with that!
Can't wait to see where the new series takes us.
