"You are my love that lasts a lifetime."
I have loved the stories about all the Walker children, but now it is time to head back to where it all began with their parents, Curtis and Lorrie.
What a beautiful love story theirs is. Over 5 decades their love never waivered, just grew stronger ever single day. They truly are the love of each others lives.
I always knew that they must have married young, but I was surprised at how young they were!
And we soon learn where the Walker brothers get their romantic streak from. They sure know how to treat their women, and they get it all from their Pop
"You are the reason I breathe. the reason my heart beats. I will go to the ends of the earth to make you happy. I hope you know that. Not hearing your voice, not seeing your beautiful face... Those are the things that tear me up each and every day. But I can still hear you crying on the phone when I did call, and your tears have the power to break me. you are my only weakness Lorrie. I know I couldn't do what needed to be done, knowing you were so upset."
Swoon! I mean seriously, where are the men like this in my life???
We all know Ms Edwards writes steamy, hot, sexy books (that I love!) - but sometimes a beautiful, heartwarming romance is what we all need, and is what we got.
I laughed, I cried, I ran through the whole gamut of emotions as I read, and didn't want Curtis and Lorrie's book to come to an end.
Now am wondering who's story will be next in the Coyote Ridge series.

I have been looking forward to reading Drop Dead Sexy for a while now. The synopsis was cute and quirky and made me smile.
Now that I have finished it, I liked it, but I didn't love it.
I absolutely adored the first 30%. I laughed out loud, couldn't get enough of our leading lady Olivia. I loved that she didn't have the run of the mill job, that her relationships had literally been killer. I loved she was pulling up her big girls pants and was putting herself out there again.
Then she met Holden "Catcher" Mains - and for me it just started to lose it's oomph for me.
I adored the sexy GBI Agent Mains, I did. But there was just something about them together that... just didn't do it for me.
Their relationship just didn't really gel with me. It may be just a case of "it's not you book, it's me" with this one.
After the first hook up, it kind of fell away, and I found it hard to keep up the level of interest I had in the book that I had for the first 30%
Maybe it was just that there was so much going on around them that it took away from Olivia and Catcher? There were so many secondary characters coming into the story and becoming part of their story that I became disconnected to them.
Like I said, this really could just be me, and you might absolutely love this to death. I wanted to love it, but just liked it. Which I hated :(

"No game is worth playing unless you're playing to win"
OK, so I am not going to lie, I have been #TeamWalkingDildo from the get go.
But now I think that maybe Noah has some stiff (pun intended!) competition from #TeamMiniWalkingDildo, his younger brother Matt.
When the "the brother-in-law's brother" Matt hooks up with "the sister-in-law's sister" Mia, I just knew that things were going to get sexy hot super fast.
I mean wow, the sexual chemistry between Matt and Mia is through the roof! You could feel their attraction to each other leap off the pages. And when they are in the same room together - the sparks just flew!
But you could just feel that things were never going to be easy between them - especially with Mia constantly complicating things, and Matt's reputation.
I could understand Mia's hesitation, truly I could. But I just wanted to clip her around the ears, tell her to wake up to herself and to stop being so stubborn.
"I can't stop thinking about you, Legs, and I don't fucking want to."
I felt for Matt as no one would take him seriously, wouldn't even try to see that he is a changed man. I could feel his frustration and his hurt that his family and friends though of him that way.
As we learn more about Matt and Mia's history, the more I just loved Matt.
What I loved the most about Game Player (well, besides M & M) was that we got more of the characters from the Bliss series, and OMG the banter between the family and friends was laugh out loud funny, particularly between Noah and Matt.
"Married life has ruined you," I grumble.
"Au contraire, little dicked one, married life means I never wake up alone and there never have to take my one-eyes trouser snake in hand unless me wife is begging to watch me do it."
I laughed, I got sad, I got angry, I got happy while reading Game Player. I feel that these people are part of my family I have been reading about them so long now. I devoured every word in one sitting, and can't wait to see where Ms Harvey takes us next.
Oh, and I still can't decide between Noah and Matt, so I will just have to be

2 Broke Girls meets Gossip Girl with a hint of Sex and the City thrown in for good measure - that was the feel that I got with this book.
Chloe, I adored her from the get go. After all that has happened to her, she pulls up her big girl pants and goes and does what she has never had to do before.... apply for a job.
I loved how she struggled with becoming "the help", dealing with things like paying the rent and buying food, things she has never had to do before. The spoilt little rich girl could have come through with her, but instead I saw the strong, capable woman that she would become shine.
I worried for a while that now that she was down on her luck that she would be out of love too. It seemed to take a while for her to warm up to the charming janitor/super Carter - but when she warmed up, things heated up.
Oh Carter - what was there not to love about him. Sexy, funny and works it in a tuxedo or a boiler suit - or shirtless in a boiler room!
Chloe's ex Vic also plays a large part in this story. I don't care how rich he was, but right from the start he annoyed me. He liked to bully himself into people's lives and it made me want to punch him!
So can this new, and I must say improved Chloe get the job and get the guy. And if she gets the guy, who will it be?
For that you are going to have to read for yourself.
One thing I really did enjoy was the "instagram updates" at the beginning of the chapters - they were a cute insight to her thoughts at the time.
Love, Chloe is a sweet, adorable story that I didn't want to put down once I started, and I would love to see these characters again some time in the future.

You had me a "rockstar" Ms Ann! I am a sucker for a rock star book, so wave one in front of me and I am always going to read it.
Brooklyn Rockstar was more of a sweet rock star than a bad boy rocker. Of course there is the groupies and all that goes along with them, but it was more rumour and innuendo than sexy times for Charlie Walker.
Evelyn - hmmm, not sure where I find myself with Evelyn. I liked her - most the time - but sometimes she was just ugh. At times she felt like a 13 year old girl, not standing up to her overprotective brothers, whining and worrying about what they will think. She is 22 years old and moved states away from them. I wanted to shake some sense into her.
For a rock star, I wanted a bit more of Charlie on stage. I think in the whole book we only got him as a "rock star" a couple of times. Not that I didn't love getting to know Charlie for Charlie, but he could have been any kind of half-famous guy rather than a rock star (but this could just be me).
I loved Evelyn's room mate Sharlo. Gotta love a smart mouthed, ballsy woman who takes no crap from anyone, and is willing to stand up for her friends.
There is a story within the story about the disappearance of Charlie's bandmate Danny which was full of suspense, mystery and intrigue - though I wish his was not the voice that Charlie had in his head (though I guess why he does makes sense as the story continues). I think I would have liked it better if it was Charlie's inner voice or none at all (again, this might just be me).
We also have a bit of set up for the second book in the series, which I hope won't be too far down the track!
Overall Brooklyn Rockstar was a pretty good story from this new to me author, and I look forward to seeing where The Kendalls series takes us.

The Fire Between Lo High and Lo was my first Brittany C Cherry book, and boy what an emotional book it is!
I swear, there were parts of the book where I couldn't see the pages because of the big, ugly snotty cry I was having!
Yep, that right there was me last night as I was reading.
Alyssa and Logan's story was beautiful but at times heartbreaking read. Friends to lovers to... whatever they are today, it takes us from their teen years to current day.
My heart broke - it seemed liked just as it healed again, BAM, Ms Cherry broke it again
Theirs is a story about love, loss, second, third and even more chances. Their relationship has never been an easy one, but the heart wants what the heart wants.
There are parts of this book that are not easy to read. At times it is gritty, dark, real. But behind it all there is a feeling of hope.
And through it all, I felt that hope leap off the pages. A hope that Logan and Alyssa could heal. That they could make their way back to each other. That they could have a future.
But to find out if they did - you will have to read for yourself.
This was my first read from Ms Cherry and I really did enjoy it. I was wondering if Kellan and Erika's story had a book of their own, as they did play a huge part in The Fire Between High and Lo.
Now, time for me to find some raspberries and raid my Oreo stash to make those delicious sounding snacks from this book!

I may have done the "Carlton" when I woke up to find Finley waiting on my kindle. A new m/m romance from Ella Frank is a joy!
I admit that I didn't remember Finn from the Temptation series - though he really did only play a small, small part in Logan and Tate's story. But even if you haven't read Try/Take/Trust (why haven't you?) it doesn't matter.
Oh Brantley and Finn - how I adored you. I love a good second chance romance, and that is exactly what you got with Finley.
7 years down the track from their breakup, Brantley contacts Finn and tells him to come home.
And from there on, things heat up - and not just because they are in Florida.
The best thing about their story is that they didn't just jump back into bed with each other, everything forgiven. There was anger, hurt, trust that needed to be regained. And as much as there was heat and sparks between them, their "re-relationshipping" was a slow burn (even though I really really really wanted them to get to the sexy times!)
There was just one problem I had with Finley. I had trouble with which character was talking to us at the time. I had to go back over what I had just read to see who's POV we were in. I normally don't have that problem with the differeing POV's but this time they just didn't have distinct enough voices that I could determine who's head I was in.
There are some great secondary characters - who I am hoping hoping hoping are going to be our leading men in the next book - Jordan and Derek. It sure does seem that their story is going to be interesting.
Finley is a steamy, beautiful story of love, the one that got away, the one that came back. I enjoyed it from the first word to the last, and can't wait to see what the next book brings us.
Please Ms Frank, let it be Jordan and Derek!

It seems like forever since I read the #Eversea series, and getting back to Butler Cover felt like sliding on a comfy pair of slippers. It felt like I was heading home again.
You remember Jazz and Joey from the series - Keri Ann's best friend and her brother?
Well now we get the full story of what happened between them - and boy, what a story.
Jazz has a love/hate relationship with Joey - and it is a fine line between the two. I can feel her pain through the pages, and my heart broke for her as events occurred.
I just wanted to slap some sense into Joey most the time, tell him to get his act together and do what he needs to do to get Jazz.
All That Jazz ( I feel like I should be using spirit fingers as I type this review!!) is told in the past and the present, and I loved seeing the relationships in the book from grass roots today.
And the parts told in the present follow the time line of Keri Ann and Jack's story, and I loved seeing their story through their friends eyes.
All That Jazz is a sweet, adorable read, with a dose of sexy and heartache thrown in for good measure.

A novella about my book husband Roarke (we have been through way too much over the years for him to merely be a book boyfriend!) - gimme gimme gimme!
What is there not to love about an In Death story, whether it is a novella or a full length book. I just adore everything about Dallas and Roarke, and can't help but get completely engrossed in their stories. I swear I spend more time with them than my family some times!
The set up for this story did drag a little, but once it got rolling it was full steam ahead and I couldn't wait to find out how Dallas wrapped things all up.
The Alice In Wonderland theme put a darker spin on an already warped tale - and I loved it.
I did have to wonder - like I am sure Eve does every single time - how Roarke.... restrained the suspect. But I guess these things are better left unknown.
Sigh. Now I want to start this whole series from the beginning again - just like I do after completing every book.
