By far the best part of this book was all the easter eggs of the prequel trilogy. This book was written in 2003, so Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones were already out and the author got to use Anakin’s history in it. Leia got a fresh look at who her father was before he became Darth Vader by meeting Anakin’s childhood friends and being gifted a journal written by Shmi Skywalker. It was a great bridge to connect the original trilogy with the prequel trilogy and a reminder for Leia that Vader wasn’t always a monster, but a human who loved and lost just like she had.

This book comes as a set with tarot cards that match the illustrations so that you can easily identify and learn the tarot cards. Not only are the illustrations beautiful, but the book itself is easy to understand as well. The book is only 124 pages long, so it doesn’t dwell on each card for more than a half of a page, so you don’t get overloaded with information. I know there are other books out there for a more in-depth look, but for me personally this is the perfect way to get used to tarot readings. This is a great starter pack for anyone who wants to learn more about tarot and it even has a dedicated section of the book teaching you how to make spreads and how to ask the cards the proper questions. I have already used my cards multiple times and this book has become a quick and trusted guide to helping me interpret the cards.

The inside story of a 19 year old high school drop out who lived in her famous mothers shadow as a backup singer for her shows, who suddenly gets a part in an low budget sci-fi movie that will soon blow up the screens. The book is almost bittersweet, showing how Carrie got her big break but was also told she needs to lose weight in order to become Princess Leia and falls in unrequited love. A lot of this book is about shedding light on Carrie and Harrison's affair, something that a lot of people speculated on but never got definitive answers until now. The parts of their affair, while good, took up more of the book than I had wanted; but Carrie did include a lot of her personal writing and poems she wrote of their affair and trying to find out who she really was during the filming of the movie. It is almost heartwrenching to hear in her own words how naive she was at 19 and having to learn the lessons of fame, hollywood, and love while she was so young. But the writing in her personal journals was by far my favorite part. She was an excellent writer, and those poems and journal entries put so much emotion into the words that you feel like you can connect with Carrie in a way that you hadn't felt before.

I was pleasantly surprised by the small added scenes and feelings that the characters had. Glad that this honored the original story but also had enough originality to stand out against the other versions of Phantom Menace out there.

If you are looking for a classic fairy tale (but also very original) that’s also funny and has great twists then this is the book for you.

Its a quick 235 page story that doesn’t take a lot to understand the world and has the classic plot of boy loves girl so he will do something ridiculous to win her love while also learning a few lessons along the way. Oh, and don’t forget the happily ever after ending. It was cute, corny, and  just the right amount of drama that you expect from a silly little fairy tale book. Next time I read this will be as an audiobook, where I found out that Neil Gaiman himself is the narrator. So I will literally be hearing this book in Gaiman’s own words, which I’m very excited about.

What a strange book, but it's a Doctor Who book so it kind of comes with the territory. While the humor was spot on and it was great to see the Doctor, Rose, and Jack (even if only Jack was in there sparringly) take down another bad guy. I just wish that this had taken place on another planet like the book had originally made it seem in the first chapter instead of jumping through history again. That's part of the fun of Doctor Who, planet jumping and seeing what else lives out there in this fictional universe. So far we have only had one book in this series that went to another planet and I'd love to see more of it. But that being said, this was by no means a terrible book. The writing was great, the plot made sense, and it read like any other Doctor Who adventure.

This book is both honest and hilarious at the same time. Amy uses her wit and life wisdom to paint a picture of her life before Jeopardy! and after. It was really cool to hear a Jeopardy! winners own words of what it is like to win while also becoming the Most Sucessful Woman to ever compete on the show. I wish there had been a tad bit more of the actual show and what filming it was like, but I also enjoyed hearing Amy's story.

A quick short story of Kelsier learning to become a Mistborn only a few months after he escaped imprisonment. The reader gets to meet Kells mentor who began to train him after he Snapped and we also get to see the inception to Kells gran plan to kill the Lord Ruler. This is filled with so much emotion since the reader gets to see Kell right after Mare’s death and his struggle of whether or not Mare betrayed him when they got caught that night. Its a great read and a great addition to the original trilogy.
