This super edition is a great addition to the history and world-building of the clans. The story is super interesting and I am so excited to see where things will go from here. The pacing in the beginning is a bit slow and drawn-out. It takes until about halfway through to get to anything real. And I could have done without so much bickering between the leading couple, it felt like backwards development, but I’m glad they sorted themselves out.

I am struggling to look past the insane continuity issues with this one. There are depictions of events we know for a fact happened differently in the main series. However, it is wicked cool to see just how downright manipulative and villainous Tigerclaw is as a young warrior.

The PLOT! The previous works of Lyonne Riley that I have read have been very character-driven (which I am not complaining about, they have been incredible), so I am delightfully surprised to read something from this author that is a bit more story-driven. And these characters?? Riley has knocked it out of the park once again with these complex, vivid characters that are so unique from characters we have met before. I am extremely happy with this third installment in the Trollkin Lovers universe and I cannot wait to read more!

After loving Firestar’s Quest, I was a bit disappointed by this one. The pacing is very slow and the story is rather…boring. It’s more of a slice-of-life collection of short stories rather than one overarching plot. However, I really enjoyed reading from Leafstar’s perspective. She’s a great character and I love her clever insight and strong resolve. I do wish she was a bit harder on the characters that wronged her and wasn’t so forgiving.

The great tragedies and losses Bluestar experienced early in her life are heartbreaking, and the sacrifices she was forced to make to become the leader she did are staggering. She is an interesting and complex character and I appreciate this detailed backstory. Much of the story dragged on agonizingly slowly and the romance with Oakheart felt rather rushed, but it was still an enjoyable read.

The story is interesting and cute, but rushed and quite difficult to follow. I’m confused by the conclusion. However, I am very happy to see a plus-size female protagonist in a manga. Sarah is beautiful, compassionate, and pure. We need more women like her in this genre.
This story was very cute, but very simple. All of the characters are named for flowers that symbolize their traits or stories. The main couple fall for each other quickly without much of a reason, but they’re still adorable together. I felt the pacing was a little rushed and most of the plot points were described quite vaguely without detail. However, this was still an enjoyable read. This is a perfectly pleasant manga for anyone looking for light and fluffy yuri content.
What’s worse than assassins being sent after you? Being fired without severance! Superwomen In Love is as hilarious as it is ridiculous. The fight scenes might be a little hard to follow, but that’s expected with most superhero content. There’s nothing all that special about this manga, just the comedic interactions between a superhero and the ex-villainess that’s in love with her. I would recommend this manga to anyone interested in humorous yuri fluff.
