The great tragedies and losses Bluestar experienced early in her life are heartbreaking, and the sacrifices she was forced to make to become the leader she did are staggering. She is an interesting and complex character and I appreciate this detailed backstory. Much of the story dragged on agonizingly slowly and the romance with Oakheart felt rather rushed, but it was still an enjoyable read.
