Book two in the Cherry Tree Harbor series and somehow the author outdoes herself with every new book release. Tropes include forced proximity, celebrity/bodyguard, opposites attract and only one bed. That’s all I needed to know before I added this to my TBR but getting Xander’s book after loving him in Runaway Love really sealed the deal for me. Give me a man in a romance who is a little cocky and flirty about it and I’m 🫠 His chemistry with Kelly was sizzling and their banter was top notch, so many scenes between these two made me cackle. This also had a super cozy feel as they hid out during Kelly’s vacation and created their own safe haven with each other and it was just too cute. Loved everything about this one and can’t wait for the next book.

I missed the authors debut but have heard great things so when the opportunity came to read her follow up I jumped at the chance. This was a really solid family drama which exceptionally well crafted characters and an interesting plot. It begins with Tara being released from prison and her siblings don’t bother to come and pick her up. I was in after that, the Connelly’s seemed like a close knit sibling group who bonded at a young age after their mothers death so I was so curious about why they left Tara hanging. There were many secrets being kept between Tara, Geraldine and Billy and the author created really believable and flawed characters in them. I really loved Billy’s son, Conner he added some needed levity and humor. Overall an entertaining family drama that I recommend if you like messy and complicated characters.

This was such a different type of read than what I normally pick up but sometimes stepping out of my comfort zone works well for me and it paid off here. It had such a creepy and unsettling vibe from the moment it starts and I was here for it. It was super tense, totally dark and depraved and at times it was hard to read but I couldn’t put it down. It also had so many powerful things to say about women, motherhood and pregnancy that were so valid and written in such a bold and in your face way. If you like thrillers with a side of horror this was good.

The authors last book was such a special read so I knew I was in for a treat when I started this one. She has the most magical ability to write stories that are whimsical yet rooted in reality and her books are so unique. This was a blend of romance, a friendship story, long buried grief and some historical moments. Loved it so much and definitely recommended if you enjoy stories with well drawn characters that feel like beloved friends in the end.

In my review of the authors last book I said maybe it was time for me to move on but dammit, I can’t seem to quit her! This one was better for me than some of her previous books, which is great because I have been super disappointed in the past. This one also had a totally different vibe to it than some of her other books, it starts off pretty slow and then about halfway things pick up but I wouldn’t classify it as a true thriller. Maybe more of a suspense with a few thriller type scenes. The dark side of the media and the tactics they take to get a story, even if most of it is fabricated was interesting so there was definitely parts I enjoyed I just wanted to be a little more entertained in the end.

Book three in the Lost and Found series and how are they always SO good?! I was super excited to get to Grae’s story because I loved her in the previous books, but I was skeptical when it came to Caden. He hurt my girl when she was just a fragile teenager and he had some work to do to win me over but dammit the man redeemed himself in a big way! Once I learned more about his past I understood him completely and seeing him and Grae reconnect was so sweet. The diabetes rep here was so appreciated and I admired what a bad ass Grae is, I mean she knows how to throw knives?! 😂 As always the suspense added such an intense layer to an already angsty and emotional story and I had no idea where it was going in the end. Adored every page of this and cannot even wait to read Roan’s story next.
