I missed the authors debut but have heard great things so when the opportunity came to read her follow up I jumped at the chance. This was a really solid family drama which exceptionally well crafted characters and an interesting plot. It begins with Tara being released from prison and her siblings don’t bother to come and pick her up. I was in after that, the Connelly’s seemed like a close knit sibling group who bonded at a young age after their mothers death so I was so curious about why they left Tara hanging. There were many secrets being kept between Tara, Geraldine and Billy and the author created really believable and flawed characters in them. I really loved Billy’s son, Conner he added some needed levity and humor. Overall an entertaining family drama that I recommend if you like messy and complicated characters.
