I got 12% of the way in and it's giving me the ick. I do not like it and when I went to the RH subreddit to see what others had to say about it, the reviews are split. Some people like it because of the dark r*pe scenes and a lot of them hate it because of these same scenes (it was commented more than once that these r*pe scenes weren't dub-con types but straight up malicious and I just know that type of thing is not something I like at all). I'm giving up on this book and leaving it to the DARK BLACK Romance peeps. 

I made it 40% of the way through and the FMC being TSTL really made me stop. She did all that running and training but kept gambling using the same system to get money?! Idiot. I just couldn't with her anymore

I made it 10 chapters in and I bailed. The flow was really choppy and the description of the FMC was cringe. I couldn't do it anymore and decided to dnf and go find another book to read.

I made it 30% of the way through reading some slightly questionable things and ignoring them, but when one of them threatened to spank her 3 days after she was rescued from a violently abusive situation? Absolutely not. Can't ignore that insane red flag even in fiction. 

I stopped at 47% cause I kinda got bored. Like it literally took us nearly half the book to get to the demon/monster lands and I was pretty over it at that point. May pick it back up later and try again

I DNFd at 55% because I couldn't take anymore of the white man fucking shit up for the latina with the better qualifications.
His only redeeming quality was that he cried. 
I liked the legend and the ancient legend far more than I liked the story between our two protagonists. 

I really liked the other ones in the story so far and was curious about Gabe's story, but it just wasn't interesting enough to keep my attention so I DNFd at 66%. 

I made it 20% of the way through this book, but I just couldn't do it. The hitmen are fine, but it was the fmc that made me quit. It's a fine book for what it is insta-lust and all that, just not what I'm looking to read right now.
