The banter! Oh my goodness!

The story itself is captivating, but the banter between characters is hilarious!! I love Finn and his weird sassy mouth. Definitely an excellent story to dive into. I cannot wait to see what comes next.

This book was so good that I read it and then was telling my coworkers a bit about it and they got so invested I read it again and took notes so I could give them a play-by-play overview of the book (they are both non-readers) and they even loves the story. All three of us can't wait for the next book!

Maddox is no longer the full grump we saw in book 1 and we love to see that kind of growth. Reggie and Natalie being menaces with Keaton in tow gives me life. Hiro, being the sassy, sweet boy that he is that wants to save everyone is definitely a marshmallow we want to protect. I love this as an ending to the series even though I really want there to be more.

A detective, a ghost whisperer and a cast of hilarious and pervy ghosts try to outwit a serial killer, who can also see the dead! With such dark matters and psychological twists that this story has, I'm so glad there were 2 ghosts that committed to the pervy bit. Reggie and Natalie getting Hiro in trouble time and again for naughty things was hilarious! Once again I didn't see all the twists this plot would take, but I really enjoyed the ride

Hiro and Maddox are at it again! Reggie and Natalie are a hoot for sure and keep the balance of the book from tipping too much into the macabre. This story was absolutely twisted with so many plot twists I didn't see coming (and usually I'm excellent at spotting those!).

Hiro is a sweetheart who rushes to help people (ghosts mainly) without properly thinking through the implications of his actions. Maddox is a grumpy reluctant cat dad who is hella suspicious of Hiro. The ghosts themselves are absolute characters (and lemme tell you now, they only get funnier the further into the series you get!).  I love that we see a mis-conception trope instead of just  miscommunication as the characters make assumptions about each other before finally things come out.
10/10 loved it and recommend you keep reading because ngl, the ghost banter and the sass gets SO much better!
