Nikki Erlick did not disappoint in her sophomore novel. All the thought-provoking, mind blowing storylines that she brought to us with The Last Measure are back. I love when I read a story that makes me continue to think long after I turn the last page and The Poppy Fields will do so. Exploring grief, guilt, and forgiveness with a twist, this is one not to miss. 
The audio, featuring Malin Ireland and a full cast is exceptional.

It’s finally here! The Pembroke Hills series begins! I was so excited to read Cal and Lucy’s story. Kat NEVER fails and I have to say, this is the BEST yet! The setting, the MCs, the friend group from Black Tie Billionaires, the food, the tropes, and Kat’s signature spice… all make for a scrumptious new book. 
Cal is the uber rich CEO, summering in The Hamptons, with an extended friend group who are all coupled up (think Summer House but RICH.) Lucy is the private chef-slash-waitress at Pembroke Hills Country Club. She happens to be his brother’s ex, he hires her and now they’re in a boss/employee sitch. He spoils her with lavish gifts and she teaches him to cook. 
I. ATE. THIS. UP. I cannot wait for book 2 (and I have a sneaking suspicion it will involve their besties.) This is available on KU today and the duet narration audio dropped the same day! If you haven’t read Kat before, you don’t know what you’re missing. 

I just finished and want to immediately pick this right back up and read it again. The way Cara Bastone tells a story and the emotion she injects into her characters is so beautiful. Grief envelops you and Milo and Lenny brought each other back from the depths. (Could I order a Coach Milo??)
