Another great Timothy Janovsky book! I enjoyed this M/M romance with tropes of forbidden romance, bosses ex, age gap, and forced proximity. The Bi and ADHD representation are great.
The audio was well produced and Tim Morgan created great character vocalizations and his tone kept me engaged.
Thank you HTP, Harlequin Audio, and The Hive for my gifted copies.
Available April 29.

Jenny Boylan is insightful as ever. I love reading everything she writes.
I’ll admit that when I came across this book only noticing the cover and not the author I was inclined to pass it up thinking it was another nonfic about women in the 50s. But Jenny’s insights into the differences in men and women were fascinating. The epilogue is fabulous.

This is a heartbreaking but also hopeful look at life as a trans teen. Meredith Russo’s author’s note is an essential piece of the story.

Thank you #partners @tlcbooktours @uiowapress for my ALC.
Quick take:
This was fascinating. The idea of bigamists is so odd. I don’t understand why a person wouldn’t just either divorce the first (or eighth) spouse or just not get married.
In the 40s and 50s people got married SO young, except of course Eva who was considered an old maid at 35. I really enjoyed the history of women in wartime work and learning about that aspect of Eva’s life. The second half of the book just seemed a bit too all over the place. I know it’s meant to explain Vick’s story and how each of the wives were affected but then maybe it should’ve been named for him instead of Eva as her part basically drops off. Nonetheless, it was informative and intriguing.
The audio was ok. The narrator’s breathy voice lulled me at times but it definitely fit the tone of fifties women.

Kacen has created a beautiful piece about identity, questioning, the Pride movement, and the multi-marginalized. This is YA but speaks strongly to me as a 54 year old queer person. The message of belonging but also accepting yourself the way you are touched me.
I know this is a very personal story for Kacen and I’m so happy they’ve put this out in the world.

WOW WOW WOW!!! I absolutely loved Evette’s first book in the Council Trilogy, THE OTHERS, and was eagerly awaiting the second installment and it did. not. disappoint. This book continues the saga of a group of witches, vampires, fairies, and time walkers (oh my!)- as they try to keep control and keep humanity intact. Vampires have always been my weakness (thank you Queen Anne Rice) and brothers William and Josef keep it going. The temptation and tension is strong with the trio of Olivia and the brothers. (Team Josef!) Incoming Council leader, Nikola is playing dirty (we get werewolf security!) and the group is working to diffuse his power.
Those last 60 pages!!! Drumming my fingers and waiting for the final chapter of this trilogy!!
They can probably be read as standalones but I personally would recommend starting from the beginning to get all the background.

This wasn’t my favorite. I cringed at so much stuff. This was one of my author selections for 13 books by 13 authors.
