STUNNING

Maybe this is the way for me to enjoy Shakespeare... a 500-page thriller in Norwegian (honestly someone teach me the key to reading Shakespeare I WANT TO LEARN).

I think it started off a bit slow, but it quickly got exciting. Once I got an overview of the characters I WAS HOOKED. This book has every "type" of character and they're wonderfully flawed and fleshed out (sometimes literally hehe). My favourites were Lady and Fleance.
I think one of Nesbø's strengths generally is the way he writes dialogues. I love how he can change the tone of a scene with a simple line.
There are plenty of twists and turns, and I'm usually pretty good at seeing them coming, but I was surprised quite a few times during the book.

I'm struggling writing a decent review in English, so I'm just leave it there. I don't know how good the translation is, but i might check it out later this year cause I'm kind of curious to know

Another reread of an old favorite! I know it's cliché, but I can't get over how much I love this book and these characters (I am Mr. Bennet and Mr. Bennet is me) . Austen's wit has been written about repeatedly, but it's so brilliant that it takes me out of remembering I'm actually reading a classic from the 1800s. It's just so goood!

Story no. 1, 6 and 8 were the best. Also Dr. Susan Calvin is a boss

So many emotions! Riordan knows how to tug on all my heartstrings

3.5 stars, maybe? I haven't made up my mind

This book contains some sections of amazing writing in the midst of long-ass streams of consciousness. Great characters, from heavily flawed to purely good, you really feel for them. The last few parts were really engaging and that really saved my feelings on the book. Though, be prepared for what feels like never-ending art analysis and 27 endings á la Return of the King

Triggers: heavy/graphic (?) descriptions of drug abuse and alcoholism, domestic violence.

I did not expect to love this so much
