Very sweet, loving relationship between siblings. Might give some kids ideas, but I think its ok.

I really enjoyed this book! Sweet friendship tale drawing from Chinese dragon mythology, and toughing on generational conflict.
informative

The main problem with this book is that it's boring. But it is also problematic that the concepts of sex and gender are conflated and never explained. Much too text heavy for the under 6 set, and illustrations too juvenile for an older set. In general, this book is I suppose not evil but there are LOTS of other books that do this much better. Skip it.

Sweet, but a bit too subtle imho. Or if it's gonna be that subtle, that's fine, but it needs more storyline. But still, sweet and the illustrations are great

charming illustrations in a eric carle-esque style. Concepts of over, under, and shapes. I think this would work well as a felt board with a storytime.

Solidly entertaining, with enough side-plot to not completely be a boring issue book. But though the issue is compelling I would have appreciated a firmer conclusion. Still, I will recommend this to contemporary fiction readers who like thinking about social justice. I do appreciate the way intersectionality is portrayed forthrightly and explained simply.

Reads like a gulp of hot chocolate, powerful and comforting at the same time as challenging. I could wish for a sequel, but I also might not wish for that, because the ending is as it should be. Sci-fi at it's best, warning us about dangers yet to come, with space ships and adventures and new planets to explore. Deeply literary, with its theme of stories being what makes us human.

I also love the casual reference to "That pandemic in the 20s." Perfection.

So delightfully well written, with a compelling storyline that doesn't dawdle about getting our characters together. Explicit consent at all times, which I really appreciated. Follows the script fairly closely, in a very good way. Plus, Latin! Delicious.

Extremely sweet story with friendship, mutual support, and doing new things. The ghost is drawn particularly comically, with a little ghost tush seen when his back is turned.
