A solid mystery story, with a likable and autistic-coded Holmes. I like those things! The vocabulary is a bit of a reach for most kids, so we'll see how it hits with my almost eight year old, but I think she'll enjoy the plot if the vocab doesn't trip her up too much. 

Dark and spooky, with the feel of a Grimm's tale. Our heroine is very clearly coded as autistic, in ways that are clearly complimentary and part of her strengths. As an adult I could see the moral at the end coming from a mile away, but it still hit all the right notes on the way there, and wouldn't likely be as obvious to a child. 

A series of loosely interconnected stories, with an overarching plotline that rewards. Similar vibe to Softies. 

Very very fun, over too soon. 

I really enjoyed thsi book, most of the time, but frustratingly found the climactic moments lacking in oomph. Still, the world building is very very cool. I hope there are more of these coming in the future!

Very cool bit of science history. 

Lost the book, and somehow didn't feel like picking it back up when I re-found it. 

Quite well-done on the romance piece, but the time-travel is a bit sloppy. Still, I'll forgive it because the romance is both adorable and steamy. 

Silly little story about the sun coming up late, and all the farm animals going in search of it. 

Sweet little story about a boy who wants to dress as a butterfly. Not much else to it, tho. Still, hand to lovers of Julian is a Mermaid.
