I am literally dying for lack of a sequel. Yes I know there is one, I plan to read it, it's on hold and my wait time is a whole month and did i mention I'm DYING.

Slow burn romance of friends to enemies to lovers that hits all the right touch points. And the drama is NEVER about the trans character being trans, only about all the other things surrounding their relationship.

A very sweet coming of age story in which our young protagonist acts actually young, in ways I find refreshing. I love how specific this book is. Not just vaguely "diverse" but actually reflective of a specific identity. I also really love how all the adults really are looking out for the kiddo in this book. She's got a village at her back, and learning that fact is the journey. Also the queer inclusion and acceptance is cozy.

A fun science book with a tiny bit of magic and history. Very well done, with more information in the back for those interested in learning more.

A bit too neat of an ending, but I have to admit that the pandemic scenes really made me feel seen, especially those that describe being a wfh parent under lockdown.

A deeply strange little book, and there is something about the moral that doesn't quite sit well with me. But the art is lovely, and the story is well paced.

Very sweet little story about friends making it through teh winter together.
mysterious reflective relaxing slow-paced

Quiet and contempative, but maybe just a tad too odd, without much story. The art is great though.

While this book lacks the utter brilliance of the first installment, it's still really REALLY good. To say that it's not as good as the first is to point out quite how good the first was.
