A boy who uses AAC to communicate and his mom have a day together. Well illustrated, and not too wordy. 

It's not that this isn't a nice idea it's that this book is not written for children. It is a picture book, but not a children's book. 

Very similar in feel to Witches of Brooklyn, with a grounding in Hindu mythology. Illustrations a bit sketchier than I always love, but the expressions come through very well. And I absolutely love how the two mom family is never the issue at hand, not ever. 

Anxiety and compulsions are depicted as bees flying around the main character's head, while what's going on around him can fade into black and white background if the bees are too plentiful. A really great portrayal of mental health struggles, and complex family dynamics. 

Consent and ways to show love. Different kinds of touch and not-touch are covered in a very approachable manner. 

fun biographical story, read aloud length for the preschool set. 

I especially love the conclusion. Very heartwarming. 

Fun little rollicking story, very silly. 

The images are very small, so it is more of a lap sit book than a storytime book, but so great to have these photographs shared with younger generations. 

Lots of different things shine! Sweet read aloud.
