Solid, but not as strong as the prior books in this series, such as A Childs Book About Racism. 

A little too twee, but sweet enough. 

Very well-done, showign the bleak childhood of the author. I do wish for a bot more detail, either some insight into the emotional complexities to the characters that aren't her, or maybe just more about the various homes in which she lived. But what is there is well done.  

The plot thickens! A very nice 2nd installment. 

Fun quick read. Nothing surprising, but an enjoyable story nonetheless. Also I love the skele-dog. So adorable. 

Solidly better sequel than the first book, which is impressive! I enjoyed having a unified storyline to follow with this large cast of characters.

It's hard to exactly pinpoint it, but this book is just a lot less engaging than its predecessor. 

Heartwarming inspirational story, if a little one-note. No side plots exist, but I can appreciate a good power to the people story. 

A very solid representation of Secret Garden. I enjoy the modernization, and don't think that it detracts form the story. The only bummer is that none of hte baby-goth vibes of the moore come through to this rendition.
