You know when you get two great books in a trilogy you get a little scared wondering how in the world will the author, give enough story to keep things interesting, and yet still give closure without leaving readers feeling bereft in the third book.

N.K. Jemisin to my mind is one of the greatest story tellers of our time. In this third book, she gave us a stand alone story that was built upon the strengths developed in the first two books. Confused? Let me elucidate. While the characters are those you learn about in books one and two, the development and story arc in book 3 is an independent mind blowing adventure that takes you further than book one or two can prepare you to go.

Well crafted, captivating, and unexpected maturity in some miserable but beloved people from the earlier books give you the sense of how well this author must know people and how time and life can change them for the better, if given the chance.

I loved it. I lost myself in this story and I cannot wait for more adventures from this world as I sense there must be more telling to do. There HAS to be right? *hoping for more*

Simply put, I loved it.
Why? A new pantheon of gods, villains who became heroes, heroes who did villainous works, and a story that kept you guessing from one page to the next. Literally. You would think someone was a true monster on one page and as you turned the page you began to fall in love with that person...as the night fell :)

N.K. Jemisin has a unique writing style, which might not flow well with all readers, but if you are a lover of fantasy it is well worth embracing, as this story is simply a magnificently told tale. I have never read anything of late with so many unforeseen twists and turns. Until the final page you really do not know what is going to happen, something I found to be delightful. There is nothing worse than reading a story and being able to describe the ending and how the characters will get to it within the first few chapters. With this author you cannot even be sure you are going to stay within the same day when you move from one paragraph to the next.

A fun adventure, the Inheritance Trilogy Omnibus is a detailed, fun-filled, emotional adventure that carries you to a new world chock-full of beings who all intertwine and need each other even though they do not think they do.

Read it. It will change you all for the better.

Hopefully one day soon, Jemisin will once again take us back into this world for more excitement with beings (missed friends really) who chase us into another wild ride from Page 1 to Page done!

This book. Honestly the writing itself is wonderful, Lev Grossman puts words together in a way you can easily disappear into. That is what captured me initially I just started reading and lost myself quickly.
However, this story will drive you crazy and not in a good way. It will all only make sense to the very very end of the book. Even 50% through the book I was lost and unsure as to what was the point of the story. While the writing is interesting the story leaves you feeling unclear, unfocused and as though you are just reading a random collection of information.
The other issue I had was that the main character is an annoying, self absorbed, stuck up, over privileged, douchebag, who you will want to reach in and punch as you read his thoughts and actions.
Also, when I say it will not make sense until the end I mean until the VERY end, which was very frustrating because I was not sure the time spent reading was going to be worth it.
I did not think it was going to be, but it did wrap up quite well and also delivered incentive to dive back into the rest of trilogy, which I will be doing after a bit of a break.

Dear J.R. Ward thank you. Loved this book from beginning to end. Took me less than 24 hours in total to finish this one.
The new romance was woven beautifully with the continuing issues of a couple we already know.

This new line of stories is going to be amazing especially if Ward keeps giving us such divine snippets of Lassiter who keeps everyone sane in the most crazy ways ever.

Absolutely no complaints except of course to say I wish it was longer :)

All I can say is, if you love the brotherhood and the characters within, this one will make you cry. Emotional journey, well written as always but...prepare yourself, it is not an going to leave you in a completely happy place.

There are a few new stories in the end, that make the entire book worthwhile if you love Jane and want to see more of the personal interactions between the characters.

At this point anything the husband and wife team of Ilona Andrews writes I am adding immediately to my "need to read now" pile. Loved this story from beginning to end. As always we have characters we can enjoy, even the ones with no names, and of course the book leaves you needing more. Hopefully this pair keeps on writing, happily ever after.
