The story we have ALLLLL been impatiently waiting for! The children are not children anymore, they are growing up and our lone wolf is learning that you do not ignore a young lady without there being serious consequences. They are a formidable team, who compliment each other in ways I am going to enjoy reading about for hopefully many books to come.

If you have missed certain characters from The Edge and you would like to see them all grown up, read this book. Even without that incentive Ilona Andrews continues this Inn Keeper series with an emotional and exciting adventure. Unexpected friends show up, unsurmountable challenges, and oh yeah forbidden things occur at the Inn!
Could not put it down and it swept (ha ha) me from beginning to end at a fast pace with tantalising twists. Cannot wait for Book 3 and hopefully many more.

Mercy, Adam, Jesse, Zee, and Tad are back and it is good to have them back. This was a fae focused adventure that really laid bare the bond between Mercy and her new family, as well as how the pack was actually treating her. *Spoiler alert* It was not like the alpha's mate.

This made the book a gooey blend of family and extended family dynamics as well as fighting powerful bad guys for the well being of life as the regular humans know it.

Enjoyed it very much, and I hope it is not long again until we have another adventure with Coyote's daughter.

Broody destructive lead man and the hardcore family oriented female lead who cracks his solid shell wide open. Another wonderful read from Ilona Andrews, with a host of supportive characters who make you laugh and want to read more about them as individuals.

Read this one and then sit and impatiently wait for the rest of it, like I will be doing...sigh...

This is really a 2 and a half...I guess it has potential but it did not really motivate me to read more, but the premise does great potential. Will see if I go forward in this series, unsure as of now.

Straight fell in love within a couple pages. Teen assassin who stays up too late reading books? Yes ma'am! All over it like tar on a stick.
The writing is beautiful, quickly flowing, and scrumptious. No complaints going to keep reading because even though these were just pre-stories, I am invested.

Deep and meaty! This is a book that you can sink into and forget all of your responsibilities. The characters are not perfect, but instead deliciously human with flaws and fears that make them relatable. Add to that a secret past that is slowly resurfacing and an evil king who gives no clues as to what he is doing next, and all in all we have a book that has you excited from start to finish.

Very happy I started this series when at least 4 have already been written :D!

I am in deep love with this book and its characters. It is an absorbing read, a tale woven so delicately if you gloss over a sentence you miss a pertinent clue.

Loved it so much! If you enjoy strong female but imperfect characters, a lil bit of romance, a lot of mystery, and a fae twist you do not see completely unfold until the very last page of the book.

I could not ask for more!
