This book is a great introduction to the world of hospitality, especially as it was marked by Walt Disney. To come to this book for any further knowledge, examples, or depth would be like approaching a nepo baby about the ins & outs of running a successful social media page, only to be told to take pretty pictures and work with brands—we’re ignoring a large (and crucial) part of the equation here!

As a transcript of a show (complete with all the documents they show on-screen), this reads exactly like watching a true crime show. It has all the same addicting and binge-worthy elements that make this a quick and entertaining read. I love a classic who-dun-it and find myself racing the author to solve the puzzle before it can be revealed. This one kept me guessing! I suspected every single character at one point or another, so I can’t quite say I pinned this one down in time. 😂

Unlike a murder mystery game, this book feels like one that can be read over and over again, as I have a feeling there might be more clues hidden throughout than I was able to pick up on.

 This book had me in a choke hold from the very first chapter. Becka is in the hospital after a serious car wreck where her vehicle gets swept into a river during some flash flooding. But, she has no recollection of anything--not even her name. She tries to put the pieces together, but ultimately nothing comes back until her husband comes in and starts filling in some of the pieces for her. The more she learns, the more questions she has, though. Is this really her husband at all?
 
 Told between three different points of view, you're constantly changing your mind on what you think happened as more and more information comes to light. There are few books that genuinely kept me guessing until the very last line and do that well, but this book is one of them. The audiobook has separate narrators for all three characters, which helped me to keep straight who was who. I also loved that these people all had accents, because it helped me picture the setting more clearly and understand moments where Americans might have worded things differently or used different slang. 

Agatha Christie, but make it Gen Z

I could NOT put this book down! I love reality tv, so even the first couple of chapters drew me in, as the characters, all famous influencers, head out to a remote island to film a reality tv show. We know influencer culture is ugly, but this book takes that to the max. Each participant has a nasty secret that they protect at all costs—even when others wind up dead for the same reason. 

This was a fun, quick read that absolutely sucks you in. It’s one of those that you instantly want to re-read to see if there were clues you missed throughout the book, which I always think is fun. 

I'm not typically one for the instalove trope... but this book has changed that. I'm OBSESSED with Pierre and Tasha! There were some points where Pierre's thoughts felt overly flowery, but overall this book was so sweet and the sparks were flying! I loved the inclusion of French and Pierre's family, especially!

Yet another great book in this series!!

This is a textbook; don't be fooled. The information in here is so, so important to experience design. I loved how practical each piece was. They did not just explain an idea, but fleshed it out with many examples and often a full chart or worksheet to walk you through each step on your own, too. Every piece of advice they gave came ready for you to take into your work immediately. Execution was quite dry, but again I should have paid more attention to what I was ordering (from the Columbia Business School) and recognized what I was getting myself into.

I liked that we got more of Garrett (and him flirting with Sloan!!) and Sloan’s backstory. While the murder didn’t exactly have me on the edge of my seat, I’m so in love with the town of Leavensworth that I have to keep reading this series! A cozy reading spot, fall leaves, a pumpkin candle, and your fall drink of choice make this book the perfect fall read! 

Honestly, this book was so sweet!! I loved the banter and their friendship before anything happened.
