Petruchio's and Kate's intelligent, quick-witted dialogue that they exchanged constantly made me laugh throughout the play. The character of Kate is strong, clever, and independent, a heroine to admire and yet feel intimidated by. I like the fact that the ending is open to interpretation on whether Kate has been 'tamed' or not.

An unusual twist on the classic Cinderella story that I grew to enjoy after every new chapter I read. This was a book I did not want to put down and it was truly like reading an action movie script.

Having read the Iliad, I recognized many of the characters featured in the play. The imagery of the battle scenes I felt came to life by Shakespeare's hand were the vivid talks between characters, especially with one of the descriptions in Act 5. I think Cressida can to be summed up with words she used to describe herself "boldness comes to me now."

Of course I was waiting for the ending to set everything right, but that wouldn't have been realistic and the book is written as if the plot could have easily happened. The book was predictable and the best part: it's a stand alone novel. Too many young adult books today are spun off into drawn out series.

A wealth of research, scientific fact and varying statistics occupy this short, but informational text. I found out much more interesting information that I expected, including that one year, where it was documented that young adults only read books fourty-nine minutes a week. I couldn't stand it if I read that little in a day!
