This was a fantastic book for helping not only children but adults too with understanding autism - I'm 23 and autistic and learned a little bit about myself while reading. However, I feel like some things could be made clearer like how children should never be "friends" with an adult that a parent/guardian or their teacher does not know. It's important not to skirt around uncomfortable topics because autistic people have a hard time reading between the lines.

Such a cute & fun story - the perfect vampire book for kids! Explores the moral qualms of feeding on humans without being too explicit.

Goat Magic is the sapphic romance The Emperor's New Groove retelling of my dreams, I really truly loved it, I loved the worldbuilding, the emotional turmoil, the characters (especially the goats ofc), and I loved the storyline of royalty realizing how fucked up the system they created is and actually fixing it.

This book has a really interesting concept and I'm particularly interested in the worldbuilding of "creepies" living amongst humans, however I feel like a lot more could have been done with this idea. While the plot of this book was super interesting, there were a lot of things that weren't said outright and were a bit confusing, and a lot of questions went left unanswered as well. I really want to see more of this story and the dynamic between Ashley, Motley, and Harrison, and I hope this will just be the beginning of a series.

While the premise of this book was extremely interesting, and it has a ton of potential, the writing is clunky, many details contradict each other, and there are a good number of typos. In addition to that, after Grace's death , I found myself not really caring about any of the characters. A lot of the story and the characters still need fleshing out for me to be really invested. In addition, some parts 9f the book mentioned Disney while others refered to it vaguely as the "Other California theme park" or "the Mouse Overlord" and I think that should be more consistent.

I don't think I have read a nonfiction book this quickly even. It was truly addictive, I could not stop thinking about it, I put off writing a ten page paper in favor of reading this book. Sometimes heartbreaking and other times hilarious, this book shows how fandom can keep us holding on.

This was a fun little series of stories but I feel a little disappointed that we didn't actually see them deciding that Sakura didn't need to go to Yomi's Bath House permanently. Why introduce conflict to the story if it's not actually going to play out in it's entirety in the book?

I will say that there are a ton of characters to keep up with and it can become confusing at times, but all in all, i loved this book so much. It takes on quite a darker turn than the first book, but I appreciate that Jesse Q. Sutanto wanted to write about and educate people on the dangers of immigrants (and vulnerable people in general) getting roped into human trafficking rings. Despite this darker turn, the core theme of Vera Wong still lies in the importance of family - blood and found. I loved all the new characters and am super interested in the dynamic between Vera and Winifred and the possible lead in for a third book set in France 🤞🤞🤞

First of alll, it took me FOREVER to make the Reese connection. I screamed when Charlie was mentioned. I also screamed every time Mer and Wit were on page. The Grace and Lily cameos got equal enthusiasm.
This book dug a hole into my stomach and lives there now - to be clear, that's a good thing. I love Mads, I love Katie, I need Austin to get his shit together, and even though I am still super confused because I'm shit at geography, I love all the Pennsylvania and New Jersey references in this book (seriously how long was Marco driving from the shore?)
LIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD
The part I loved most about this book was Mads and Katie's relationship because I could tell very quickly that Katie desperately wanted to be Mads' friend - the Prosecco Pong scene hurt my soul (Mads and Katie are prosecco pong partners for life now, that's canon, don't argue with me). I love the ending so, so much and I just wish I got more time with them as friends (fingers crossed for a special epilogue with Katie as Mads' bridesmaid 🤞)

I got very worried towards the end that there actually wouldn't be a happy ending in this book and I would have to wait at least a year to find out what happens but thank God Katee Robert didn't put me through that
