Fun plot but lackluster execution. I loved the idea of this book and truly fell in love with the main characters. However, for a book less than 300 pages it sure did drag in the middle. I also wasn't a fan of the overly used references to the real world and items, it felt awkward and almost like a brand deal at times. The ending was ridiculous and characters personalities changed and their actions didn't quite match with the person. I wanted more emotional pull and probably would have loved this book more if the author had spent more time on character development.

The moment I finished the last line of the book I wanted to start over again. I don't think there is a set of words that describes how perfect this book is. Beautiful, romantic, heartbreaking and real. I laughed out loud and I cried real tears. This is a must read. My favorite book of 2021 so far.

So I read the first two books of this series out of order....whooops! I enjoyed The Proposal better, but this book was just as adorable! The writing is enjoyable, however the author does this very weird thing where it jumps forward in time, with no transitions or movement between characters (One line the characters will be talking on a Monday and the next line its Friday!).
Character wise, I LOVED Alexa, she was so sweet and real. Drew felt a little flat to me, I didn't love the way he talked to Alexa or Carlos, it felt almost out of character, his mood shifted very easily.
So far, I am enjoying this series and can't wait to pick up the next book from Jasmine Guillory.

I don't get the hype surrounding this book! I understand it covers very intense topics - such as suicide, depression, homelessness, death, etc. - but I don't think that should give a book an automatic 5 stars. The writing style is not for me, so many useless, drawn out details that make the very short chapters feel like hundreds of pages long. I also didn't find many of the characters believable or real enough. No one would ever act that strange, difficult or relaxed in a real life hostage situation or police questioning. It really took me out of the story because the characters were acting so absurd. I know its fiction, but the world they are in is very much based on real life.
I give this book 3 stars, because some of the character development was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed Zara and her relationship with her therapist. I do like the interconnectedness of all the characters. I just wish the writing style would have been more succinct.

This book was a wild ride! I was sucked into the setting, invested in the story and it was a refreshing read and less predictable than most mystery/thrillers. I enjoyed the variety of POV's and felt like I didn't know who to trust/believe. I was shocked at the twist and interconnectedness of it all. I would recommend and read again.

Lots of twists and turns in this book! A page turner which made for a quick read. I did find it a bit predictable and saw the ending coming. Overall it was an enjoying quick read. Not the best thriller/mystery of all time.

Although this book is beautifully illustrated, the content/messages in the book were terrible. I get it, this book is "Advice you should probably (not) follow," but there was so much potential for it to be funny and take on real world issues that many women face. I was really hoping that the little passages from the authors "therapist" would have been helpful, but they were written from the authors POV, which means after almost every therapist advice, the author would undermine it. I would have really enjoyed this if the advice was written from an actual therapist to combat some of the problematic messaging within. I would not recommend this or pick it up again. Its fun to flip through because some of the "memes" are funny and the illustrations are great but that's really all this book brings.

I'm not a big YA reader but this collectors edition was too beautiful to not pick up. Although it's a predictable teen love story, I couldn't help but get invested, the characters were well written and really pulled me in. Also the imagery of Paris was beautiful and kept me hooked just to learn more about the city. I can see this becoming a comfort read for me.
