This was a slower read than anticipated. There are a lot of mundane details to get lost in but that makes it feel more real. The story, as absurd as it is, feels so genuine and real because of the writing. I would love to see this as a movie. 

I devoured this book in hours! Usually that would make this book a solid 5 star read but I just can't do that. Although the story is super cute and I fell in love with the characters, the writing was choppy and sometimes distracting. I found several typos throughout the book or inconsistent plot points that bothered me. Still an adorable, fun and quick read. 

You don't have to know who Abbi Jacobson is to enjoy this book - although it helps! Its a relatable story of a woman finding herself, or at least trying to, through a cross-country road trip. You get some backstory on her life, and of course Broad City, but a lot of the lessons, morals, and jokes can be universally loved. I can't give it 5 stars, only because at points it dragged a bit and I think the writing could have just been a tad better. Overall super enjoyable, and there is a very nice message at the end! 

I so wanted to like this book, but after 2 months of picking it up and putting it back down I finished and have to say, it was terrible! These stories are disjointed and depressing. I was hopeful that this book would explore female sexuality and voice. Instead I got 3 poorly written stories of women that are mundane at best. The only story I believe is worth telling in this book is Maggie's. I would have read a whole book (better written) on her story. 

A must read book for 2021! Its hilarious, eye opening, sad, and educational. Take the time to read through these short stories and reflect on them. Amber and Lacey are so funny and great story tellers. I couldn't put this down and I intend on doing a re-read soon. 

This book left me a little disappointed. I love Ruth Ware, but this one fell flat. I felt like the story premise was good but could have been told in a more interesting way. Too many characters and not a real red herring among the lot of them, lots of story lines that were unresolved. This felt predictable and it dragged on. I read through this fast just to get it over with. 

Love this slow read. Each chapter a little nugget of advice, inspiration, or a lesson to be learned. I couldn't help but make notes and underline in each chapter. This is the perfect book to keep out and return to when you have a few minutes and need a peaceful read. 

I feel seen! This book covered the deepest thoughts I've ever had about my body, how people perceive me, etc. I went into this skeptical, I thought it would be predictable and kind of cringy but I was pleasantly surprised. I laughed, I shed a few tears, and I felt hopeful. Wonderful book!

This book is charming, endearing and oh so funny! I want to read it over and over again. I loved the characters and all their witty dialogue. This is the perfect political escapism needed .
