I did and didn't like this. Liked the plot, even if it was very unrealistic at times. I didn't like Carly that much. And Michelle was a little more likeable than Carly, but not by much.

Worst book ever!!!
Violent and sexually abusive father never is arrested. Like author is telling Teens that the only way to handle a person like that isn't by telling police. No - the heroine has to resort to blackmailing father that molested her.
The sex scenes are quite vivid. But I suppose you have to when encouraging safe sex. Which doesn't happen here. Girl gets pregnant - and miscarries the next day. (Red flag for hospitals if girl comes to them the very next day beat up and miscarrying after fainting spell day before.)
The writing is choppy. Character point of view is as well. Some of the character development is good. But others seemed like after thoughts. Ending was very rushed through. Author wanted to tell (not show) these kids life story - from kids to adulthood.
Just a very bad role model book. Only positive was the girl and boy lifelong relationship.

Free short fluff 2013
For a short story, this was an ok read. It is a predictable romance happily ever after ending. I liked the characters but they're a bit forgettable. They remind me too much of all the other contemporary romance characters. And there was more telling in this story then needed. I think Lisa could've stuck with Lisa's point of view and done without Justin's point of view. By doing so she could create more show on the character's feelings. And there would be more room to describe the couples kissing and sex scenes. This was more rated G in that area as we're just told in one sentence about how affectionate the couple is, let alone their sex life. Still, this was an ok very quick read for a short story
