✔ Savor the Moment (Bride Quartet, Book 3) by Nora Roberts 2.5★ Rounded down to 2★

I thought I'd like this one. The build up for this book from the other two was pretty good. I even expected to like it as much as book 2. But no. And I don't feel like reading more of the Bride Quartet now. So repetitive. I can't even say that I like the characters now.
I did really like book 2 (Bed of Roses), so I did have all the other books on high expectations. Book 1 was just ok. Book 3 was a let done.

The series just felt rushed to me I guess. Maybe I'll wait a long while before reading book 4.

Predictable at some parts. Long and wordy at others (even a little repetitive). The ending was a lot quicker to teas through compared to the beginning (took me a week to read the first half). And it's a bit unrealistic at times. But still a good story.
The ending was touching but still predictable (almost Nicolas Sparks tear-jerker and even reminded me Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by Patterson). Still a good read. And this is the first book I've read by the author, and I am still unsure if I'll read more by him. Maybe.

A cute chick lit romance with mild sex reference. I liked this book as a quick beach read. The characters are all quirky and likeable. There are lots of dog and and cat owners- Bowie and Angie being the most descriptive in the book as they're owned by the H / h. I would read this again if I was in the mood for something light. There was a predictable tear-jerker moment at the end. I saw it coming but I still shed a few tears to. I did like the end.

This was an ok read. The romance wasn't an instant-love, which I thought was a good thing. The subplots were just ok. The description of the Fool's Gold was nice, even if a little unrealistic with the girly bar, and the vast majority of the characters all female.

This is the second book of Mallery's that I completely read (just finished Tempting). Before those, I tried reading Only Mine (book 4 of the Fool's Gold series) but didn't finish it. Finding Perfect is the 3rd book and I enjoyed that so much more than Only Mine.

As with the one other Mallery book I completely read, Finding Perfect had a lot of subplots going on. I think it was a little too much. There was the current going-ons of the town Fool's Gold, the bachelor auction and female auditions. Then there was issues of a school that got burned down and being relocated. And then there was issues of foster children, sports (being that Raoul the hero was a star football player), and so forth.

And all those subplots had just a small amount to do with Pia and Raoul - the main characters. They had drama of their own. Pia had to worry about Crystal's embryos and Raoul had trust issues.

So through the giant cloud of subplots that almost made this feel like I was reading a soap opera, the story of Pia, Raoul, Peter and the three embryos was nice

(August 2015 saw the movie. They definitely toned down what I didn't like about the book's sex and alcohol drinking. They even made it more funnier.)

Cute. A good teen angst, family drama and high school drama with a coming-of-age story. Liked the main character Bianca. Lots of sex stuff and language of a sailor's, so definitely a mature "new adult" audience for this. I just hope the movie tones that down just a small notch because it seemed like all the characters were really really sexually hormonal. I have seen commercials for the movie and it had me curious, especially because I've never heard of the slang DUFF. The word is offensive but it ended with a positive spin to that...

“Calling Vikki a slut or a whore was just like calling someone the Duff. It was insulting and hurtful, and it was one of those titles that just fed off of an inner fear every girl must have from time to time. Slut, bitch, prude, tease, ditz. They were all the same. Every girl felt like one of these sexist labels described her at some point. So, maybe, every girl felt like the Duff, too?”

The book ended up being a quick and easy mature adult book to read. I did like Kody's writing and the story did almost make me teary eyed. It was a little realistic and some high school nostalgia, even with the happily ever after fantasy ending.

Love the Hallmark movie "Christmas with Holly" version a lot more!!!!!
