This was ok for a quick read. I read this in a day. The storyline is predictable and addicting to read. The interaction between the heroine and hero was the addictive part. The other storyline was like reading the tv show Survivor.
There was a lot of explicit sex scenes in full detail. Maybe a little too much detail sometimes because I was even skipping those redundancies.
There was a lot of grammatical errors and redundancies. I ended up skipping those because it took away from the story. At times I even had to read the sentence over again just to see what the author was trying to say.
All in all, this was an ok read. I wouldn't pay money for it. And IMO, this is a typical erotica contemporary romance.

2013 Review
Got the ebook from overdrive and loved it. Then a friend suggested that I try the audio book with Samuel L. Jackson on youtube. That had me laughing as well.

I have a almost 3 year old niece. When I babysit her in the evenings, it's always a struggle to get her asleep. And don't get me started on nap time. ;) This ebook was fun to read. And then hearing Samuel read it was good. At the beginning he tells us why he chose to read the audio. That in itself was nice to hear and funny.
Morgan Freeman was funny too...

Witches of East End by Melissa de la Cruz 5 stars ★ and a favorite ♥
I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I don't often read paranormal fiction. Witches of East End has it's paranormal - from witches to vampires, zombies, gods and goddesses. But this has a good plot. Really well written with some mystery to it.
The beginning was a little slow to start, but the short chapters I think helped pick up the pace. It was nice to have each chapter from a different point of view of the Beauchamp women (Joanna, Ingrid and Freya). I liked how this had more than just a plot of a family of witches who have been banned from using witch craft. This was very sexual but not stepping into erotica and I liked that.
The three Beauchamp women are all immortal witches. Their background was both mysterious and intriguing. They have lived back before the Salem Witch Trial Days, so they have a long life-story to tell and I wanted to hear more about their past. Throughout the book, Melissa de la Cruz gives little hints of the three women's past and I think it was good that there was a mystery to who they were. Each witch has a special "talent" (as they liked to say). It's hard to pin point who my favorite character was because I liked them all. My favorite male character would of course be Killian Gardiner though. Loved him the most.
I felt the ending was a bit rushed. It was good. And Melissa did a good job in quickly explaining some myths and such. The Epilogue chapter wasn't much of an "epilogue" but more a sneak peak to the next book in the series. I had already decided that I'll be reading the series, so I thought that sneak peak to book 2 was nice.
A note about the Lifetime show: It's so far a good show that I'm addicted to. The show has changed up a few things but I like it none the less.

This was a cute Young Adult short book. The grammar is hard to ignore. The bff's brother crush and unrequited love was predictable. It was nice to see this 15 year timeline. I saw some growth and maturity in the characters. Showing both Tony and Libby's point of view sometimes helped the story. I just think that the end was really rushed.
I'm disappointed that I overpaid this by a dollar. But this is still a good read. The author sticks with the storyline. There isn't too many redundancies or unneeded extra plots. It's a good quick read. I'm a hopeless romantic. This fed my craving for a young love blossoming story.
