I wanted to love this book. I loved the premise and I absolutely love how we’re introduced to Alex, I loved him immediately.
But WAY too much time was spent on the past. Perhaps it might be important in the second book but the current story felt slow and didn’t progress. Once I knew the basics about what happened in the past I didn’t need to know anymore. More to the point, I didn’t want to know anymore. I wanted to know what was happening today and I got very little of that.
I also felt in the past JoJo was overly naive, and didn’t suit her age.
I’m sincerely hoping things progress more in the second book, they kind of have to in order to reach a conclusion, but this book was hard work. Sorry!

Again, I wanted to love this book, but I just couldn’t. It moved way too slowly to me, and although the flashbacks were fewer this time around, I still found them to be annoying. I wonder if the books were organised differently it may have read easier.
Anyway, this was a solid end to the story, even if it didn’t grab me as much as I hoped.

I loved this book! I loved this series!
Lance is tough, but unflinching. He’s hard, but still has a soft spot.
Harper is strong and sassy and Rene is pretty awesome.
There’s Kate’s usual snark here, with drama, and deep love. There’s also a fair dose of music, which I love.
This is a great series, you won’t be sorry if you pick them up!

Holy shit! This is the sweetest book I’ve ever read! It is so Victoria and I love it! I can picture her writing this, her thinking this, her putting together the story.
I love Cassidy and Jacob. I love the adventure they went on and the friendship they have.
This might be a middle grade book, but I truly feel as if all ages will thoroughly enjoy it, I know I did!

4.5 stars.
I really enjoyed this book! It was a quick, sweet read with shades of Laramie’s Rockin’ Country series.
I love Tristan who is hot and caring.
Amelia is sweet and considerate.
Together, they’re a cute couple.
If i do have one complaint it’s that I didn’t feel much happened in this book, it was more of a set-up for what’s to come. A little more action would’ve been what’s needed to push this into perfect.
I can’t wait for the next one!

Holy. Lord. I LOVED this book. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. My head broke. I cheered. This book had it all.
I loved reading Troy’s and Clarissa’s story. Dante is incredible as well.
This is a great family.
Troy is perfect. I had a harder time with Clarissa, just because of the fight she put up with Troy.
But it was all worth it in the end. This book is incredible and you all need to read it immediately!

This was an okay book. I loved the first book in this series, it’s one of my favourites, but I wish these books were true standalones.
Yes, we know Dawn and Mark have a history, but we don’t see that. We don’t even see the start of their relationship. I wanted that, if, for nothing else, than a connection to the title. From what we’re shown, this isn’t an unexpected fall for Mark, it’s a gradual one that’s developed over years. I think that’s what also bothers me, is that this relationship takes years to get to the point where we pick it up. What the heck was happening all that time? It’s been made to seem in other books that this was a forgone conclusion. Apparently it wasn’t. Even if more than half the book is them going on about how scared they are to tell each other their feelings.
That being said, I did like the twists and turns this book takes, even if at one point I hated Dawn.
But I can’t get over the chosen starting point for this book. It’s a solid book but a little disappointing.

3.75 stars.
I have mixed feelings about this book. At first I didn’t really like it, but by 75% it flipped and it was pretty good.
I liked Lev. I love how steadfast he is, as well as a little evil.
Scout I didn’t like as much. She was a bit of a spoiled brat for most of the book, but then things evened out.
Nav was a bit of a surprise for me, and I liked the twist on things.
This is a pretty solid bully romance. I do think it could be a little fleshed out more but it’s not something that detracts from the book to much.
Give it a go!

This was an okay book.
The storyline is an interesting one and one I enjoyed. But how everything unfolds is where I get a little lost. The characters aren’t fleshed out. It’s almost like the author knows what she wanted them to be, but didn’t explain them to the reader well enough. There’s a lot of things which happen because they need to, not because they logically happen. I also found the bullying to be a little unsophisticated.
Also, as an Aussie I’m not offended by swearing, but here it’s too much and seems forced. I would’ve liked to have seen something other than people being told to f**k off.
In the end, it’s an okay book but not one of my favourites, sorry.

This was a solid book. I liked the story of Pierce and Darby but I thought it was a little too long and drawn out. For a long time I was waiting for some drama, but it happens right at the end. I also felt pierce was overly preoccupied with sex. I don’t mind, but that’s really what everything boils down with him.
Like I said, this was a solid book, but not one of my favourites, sorry.
