Oh my god. What an addictive book. This is only my second Katie McGarry book but I loved it just as much as the first one I read, Thunder Road.
I fell in love with Noah pretty quickly in this book while Echo took a while to warm up to. She seemed so weak and her "friends" drove me insane wanting her to get "normal" back, like after everything that happened to her that could ever happen.delving more and more into both her and Noah's separate issues was an experience. I loved their story and finding out what had happened on each of their lives.
What an emotional book. Tears welling in my eyes all the time at the end. Holy wow. And Noah. Christ. That man.
Highly recommend this for McGarry fans, and for those who are unsure about reading her books. You won't regret and I can't wait to read more.

I finally finished this goddamned book. I feel like this dragged on a bit in some parts - there were too many times it switched between characters, I would have liked for the sections with the individual characters to have been longer so it wasn't jumping around so much. I thought it was going to be more historical fiction that anything, but it's about an old fashioned rich family in the modern day. There certainly was a hell of a lot going on in this book and it takes a while to wrap your head around it all. That said though there are some great things at play here, crazy as they are, but hell, rich people might really be like that, who knows.
I think I'll still continue to read this, just to see how it unfolds, but if you choose to read the series be prepared to have to think properly to follow what's going on. This isn't one of those books you can just coast through.

This book was a quick, sexy and fun read. I loved the connection between Kristen and Vincent and I especially loved his charming and seductive ways. I don't really have much to say except that I really enjoyed this one and want to read the rest of the series!

This was a good book but I found it a little too unbelievable. It took a while to take off, I thought the beginning was a little slow, before we got to meet Everrett Rockford and then all of a sudden when I'm nearing the 3/4 mark of the book he's declaring these things to her and I'm just thinking to myself "really?" Like that would even happen! The story was easy to read and interesting in that it had a bit of mystery about things and of course some teenage angst in terms of overbearing parents, but really this book wasn't what I was hoping. A bit too unbelievable for me when the male character acted the way he did throughout most of the book. Worth giving a shot but don't be surprised if you're not bowled over by it.

Lordy Lordy Lordy! Chase King? Where can I find me one of those?!
This book was fantastic and I didn't want to put it down. I was able to connect with the characters and feel their emotions as everything was unfolding.
This was actually the second book of this series and even though I haven't read the first, it still makes complete sense and doesn't make you feel like you're missing anything. That said, I'll damned sure be reading the first one. Those King boys? Mmmmm mmmmm!
I think I loved Chases character more than Hopes, he was so playful and sexy yet strong and fiercely protective. Everything a damned good man, cowboy or not, should be. At least in all our womanly dreams right?
I loved how he and Hope instantly reconnected after five years apart with no contact since college. It showed what a great friendship they had and that some people, no matter how much distance or time has passed will always be great friends.
The fact that she's a single Mum and doing things herself and not trying to bludge money off anyone shows what strong character she has and how much of an independent woman she can be even when she feels like it's all going to hell.
As for Chase, his strong family values and connection with his brothers, sister in law, grandad and Mrs T, show how dedicated he is to his family and his ranch. A proper southern gentleman.
I really enjoyed the secondary characters of Ryder and Nate, Chloe and Clay and of course little Harrison. Even though they didn't feature as much in the book they fit right in and were written well in the storyline. Especially all the cheeky King brothers moments.
A fun quick read, this one has the emotions flowing - love, laughter, angst, hope, you name it's probably in there.
I'd definitely recommend this to lovers of romance novels that include sexy southern cowboys and reuniting friends who count each other as the ones that got away.

I love these kinds of books. The whole "fake boyfriend" thing which ends up being more than you ever thought it'd be? I eat them up. They're predictable and fluffy and a walking cliche, but I love them all the same.
This one was a great book, easy to read and a quick read as well. I loved Felix. He was the best character by far. He had his own personality and he owns it. Plus he's a real softy deep down.
Not much to say about this one other than it was fun and I'd definitely recommend it to others. Well worth giving a go.

Another Abbi Glines book over too soon. I love her books, I eat them up like candy and chocolate and all the good things. I can never get enough.
This book was no exception. I liked Addys character from the start, but I will admit that I nearly hated Captain. He was a complete asshole. I wanted to punch him in the face. Seriously.
But as things moved on and he started to become more of his old self, more River, I began to really like his character more and more.
Addy is strong willed and protective and stubborn and I really liked reading her chapters and points of view. It was interesting to get Rivers points of view as well, especially considering his past in terms of job history.
It was also really insightful to get a glimpse from both perspectives into their pasts growing up together and how things came to be, before both River and Addy became the people they are now. How they originally connected and what they went through together that bonded them for life.
Franny was an awesome little character and I loved her parts. So enthusiastic and easy going and all the traits that children have that can be so endearing.
It was great to get a glimpse of other characters we've met in the Rosemary Beach series previously, particularly Blaire and Nate, and the small glimpse of Mase and Reese.
Loved this one and can't wait for the next. Especially since we know it's about Nan and this book gives a very tiny glimpse of how that's going to come together in the series and continue on.
Sorry River, but Rush and Mase are still my fave Rosemary Beach boys (if you can really call Mase that, sexy Texan Cowboy and all) but River was a great character with more depth to him then I thought and it was great to read this.
Bring on the next Rosemary Beach novel. How far away is it again? Too damned far. :-(

Damnnn. Brax Jenkins.
I previously read Stupid Love because I had been lucky enough to be offered an ARC copy to review, and I enjoyed it so much I knew I had to read the first two books in the series.
So even though I had an idea of how things would turn out, I still wanted to to read the whole thing.
I was not disappointed. This book was awesome. Deals with some real intense issues as well, when you know what Olivia is dealing with from high school.
There were times I wanted to hate Brax and punch him right in the mouth, but at the same time you could read in the book that he was so sincere. Olivia is a smart girl and I enjoyed reading the book from her POV and I agreed with her decisions throughout the book. I loved Tessa's character as well.
I just really enjoyed this whole book, it was a great read and I had trouble putting it down once I had gotten into it.
Definitely recommend, and I look to forward to reading book two so I can complete the series, even if I did read it out of order.

I'm not really sure where to start with this one. I will say I was pretty much instantly hooked on the storyline and engaging with the characters.
The Connor part of the storyline was really good and was something extra to focus on instead of the lovey dovey stuff and the situations playing out from that, and gave the reader something real to focus on - that kind of thing does happen in real life and is a serious issue, and I always like it when authors manage to involve serious life issues in their stories. It makes them more real.
When the secrets started popping out though with Caleb, I just could't fathom how Hannah could even contemplate staying with him. Yeah the circumstances were a bit different and it wasn't a traditional situation, but still, I think it was a little unbelievable.
And all of this after only a week or two? A bit too much insta-love in this one for me. Normally I don't mind that kind of thing, but in this book I think it was a bit too much too soon.
That said though, I couldn't stop myself from being addicted to this book and wanting to know what would happen. The secondary characters really helped build character in the story, especially Lizzy and Lucas.
I also loved how Hannah had a passion and she was able to still work on her dream with said passion, with all that was going on. And how she was portrayed as enjoying it so much yet being uniquely good at it.
I do feel like the ending was left a bit open though, and we weren't given answers about certain situations. Not sure if this is going to be a stand-alone or if maybe we'll get some more books, but I don't think we will because of how the ending read. Unless its from another characters POV, maybe Lucas, which would actually be a really entertaining book to read.
A bit all over the place with my thoughts on this one I know, but I did thoroughly enjoy after all I've said, and I would still recommend it to other people to read. It was a quick and easy read and a good book to immerse yourself into.

Initial thoughts - this one might take a while to get into.
50% - Still not the best writing style, or maybe I should say not the writing style I like the most. Is anything remotely interesting going to happen in this book?
60-65% - All of a sudden they're in love? Wait, what?!? The storyline is too jumpy in this one.
90% - Some good things happening but there's still no proper structure or exploration for some of the things happening in the story.
100% - Abrupt ending but good gestures from the townspeople showing the true country spirit in Aus.
Overall this one wasn't my kind of novel. The story jumped too much and I felt that Damien and Jacqueline didn't have enough interaction to all of a sudden be in love in the way they were. The idea of the story is a great, its just not my kind of writing style.
