Another cute and funny Jasmine Guillory novel.

I'm such a fan of this series. Mainly because I really like the characters, I think they are all so funny and interesting and good. This book was just a good time.

I really like this series, I'm excited to see where it goes.

I enjoyed this book a lot.

Enemies to lovers is a fav trope of mine, so this book was already interesting. It was slow to start and it took a while to get to the actual plot points from the description of the book. I loved seeing Malik and Karina interact before really knowing who the other was. I also loved Malik's magic. I liked the theatrical moments and the story teller vibes. Lots of twists at the end.

I'm excited for the sequel.

The Hand on the Wall was a great ending to this very epic mystery.

This conclusion did a great job of tying up all the loose ends over the course of the series and I appreciate that so much. The whole trilogy was clever and well crafted and I enjoyed seeing Stevie's confidence grow. I also loved seeing her relationships with Nate and Janelle develop over the three books. This last book similar to the ones before it, did not fail to bring the suspense and keep me on the edge of my seat.

This conclusion was really satisfying.

This book was devastating.

Echo endures so much throughout this book and it was not what I was expecting when I read that she was a wizard. What I got was worth so much more. Echo Brown describes, in many instances throughout this novel, the struggles of what it is to be a woman, a black woman, growing up in a world that is not always on your side. This book does have magic and a magic system that is unique and used to show that many people have darkness in them. The book explores what this darkness is and that it isn't always easy to stay in the light. This power of this novel is in Echo's words as she recounts all the struggles in her life, from home to school to the relationships she has with the people in her neighborhood.

This book was both heartbreaking and so full of hope.

Bitty is back and has a boyfriend!!!!!!

Im still obsessed! The artwork continues to be amazing. Also I see the Bey posters in the background, I stan!! The writing is wonderful and we get to learn more about Bitty as he navigates his first relationship. Also the wonderfully written the conversations Bitty has with his parents about everything that happens in this book is just done so well.

I love all the love and acceptance and hockey and pie!

Slay is so great.

I wish the game was real because I would slay all day. The fictional game itself is a beauty. It's just steeped in black history and culture. If you pay attention you will learn some things, I sure did. This book did a great job of highlighting that black doesn't look any one way. Black people are different and love and appreciate so many different things that make some stereotypes comical. I also absolutely loved that we get snippets of into the lives of other characters POV who slay. It shows what having a space to be unapologetically themselves means to them and that it spans different ages. The choice in the villain!! That was so very clever in showing double standards within a community. This book was excellent. The audio cast did a brilliant job.

This was a fast paced, enjoyable, and sends the message that every shade of black is black enough.

I can't believe I finished this book!

It took me three months and I did it. I listened to this book on audio and it was a trip. The full cast did a truly amazing job! Many moment of this book were slow and boring. I was a fan of the world and the betrayals and drama a lot. I also thought the abilities Jessica has and what she passed on was really cool.

I not going to finish this series but I did like some of the story arcs that happened.

I liked the concept of this story.

I thought it would be very interesting to see this world brought to life. There were some really good moments between the four POVs that were going on in the book. It felt like watching a TV royal drama which was nice. All the main characters seemed really superficial to me though. No one really did anything except go through the motions so it felt flat.

There was drama but it wasn't all that exciting.

I repeat and another cute rom-com from Jasmine Guillory.

This book focuses on Maddie's mom Vivian and a British man named Malcom. We get the classic dual POV and a change of scenery in this Christmas romance. It's about spontaneity and fun for this couple and it's sweet and endearing. This book wasn't as witty as the previous in the series. The tone seemed a bit more subdued.

I continue to be a fan and can't wait for the next book.

I love a good rom-com.

Chloe and Red are full on opposites attract, can't stop thinking about each other, lust in public kind of couple and it was fun to read. Both had their quirks which made the inevitable fallout, predictable, but these characters have great chemistry. It was also very funny.

It felt like a classic rom-com which I can appreciate.
