Maus gave in depth look into the life of a Holocaust survivor told in a graphic novel.

The artwork was engaging and this story like all the stories of the Holocaust are important and should be told. This was a story of love and heartbreak. It was also a story between the bond of a father and son who were both learning to cope with their realities. One in the past and one in the present.

This book gives a look into the nature of rioting and how it can be both scary and dangerous especially when it turns into something more.

The progression of this book started with a racist comment that turned in something violent and frightening for the two characters this book is centered around. With the dual perspective of a black girl and a white girl, we get to see how they both cope with the realities of racism and how it effects everyone. Except every decision these characters made, made no sense. The book missed the mark because it tried to be a survival novel even when the girls were out of the danger zone.

It may not be the best example but it does talk about racism, rioting and looting that is happening today.

That cliffhanger though...

I loved it all. The world, the magic system, the characters. Enemies to lovers to enemies to ??? Each character is so unique and all fighting for what they believe. The book was refreshing and heart breaking. The story was so well established that it didn't feel bogged down by info dumps. The tone was set at the very beginning and it just kept getting better and better as the story went on.

That cliffhanger really did get me..

Karou and I would probably be good friends.

I can't believe it took me so long to pick up this book and I'm glad I did. I didn't know what to expect, and I got magic and angels and Prague and it was all fascinating. I will say I thought Akiva was weird and creepy, kinda still do. I'm 100% sold on the angel.

The writing was just amazing and Laini Taylor really brought the book to life in such an amazing way. I also really enjoyed how we got to see some of the side characters POV. It made the book feel less heavy and yet still captivating because it never took away from the overall plot or pacing.

I'm definitely a new Laini Taylor fan.

I'm biased because I love all her books.

I love Ruhn. Bryce and Hunt are okay. Danika!!!!!!!!!!! Could 100% use more Fury.

This book was predictable. Do I care? Absolutely not.

Patiently waiting for book two.............

This book is just plain wonderful.

Cute doesn't even begin to describe this novel. Ollie was ghosted after an amazing summer fling and now, at a new school, the same guy who ghosted him is both popular and in the closet. I loved every moment of this short and sweet novel. This book was charming and funny and a perfect teen rom-com.

One of my favorite new releases this year so far.

The cover alone is amazing.

Marie Lu wrote another amazing novel, so different from anything she's done and I loved it. Nannerl Mozart was fascinating and deserved so much more than what she got. Not only do we get to see her life we also get a look inside her head when she enters the kingdom of Back. We learn her desires and dreams and the lengths she's willing to go for what she wants. The world is lush and alive and you feel like you're there, walking through the trees with her or sitting with her at the piano.

The best part was the bond between the Mozart siblings. It's so unfortunate that Nannerl was never given the same opportunities as her brother.

Marie Lu, in her own way, gave Nannerl's story a voice. Hopefully now more people will learn her name and not let history erase the work of an amazing woman.

Zachary Ezra Rollins.

This book was a trip. I listened to this on audio and the full cast was amazing. I really don't have words to describe how I felt while reading this book. I just really liked it and will probably reread this book in the future because the first time was great but maybe it'll be even better the second time.

I loved my journey on the starless sea.

Enemies to lovers is such a great trope.

Ximena is living a dangerous double life and this exciting story had me hooked from the first page. I loved the magic. I loved that there was a masked bandit and a charming guard and that Ximena was strong, fierce, and not afraid to get her hands dirty. This world was rich in culture and I can't wait to try Bolivian food in real life because they book kept hyping it up. This is a stand alone that didn't feel rushed or scattered with amazing characters, great dialogue, a satisfying ending, and a world I can't wait to return to.

Isabel Ibanez designed her own cover too. I loved it.

Zuzana!!

What I love about this series is how even the side characters are amazing. They are written as if they are the main character and Karou and Akiva are the background noise. This books flows just as well as the first. There were so many amazing and heartbreaking moments in the book, I'm nervous to see how this is all going to end.

Also Razgut man, he's a menace. It's great...
