Started out quite promising. Humans, mythical creatures, vampires and a unicorn. Then about half way through it went flat as though the author wasn't sure where to go. Not enough about the different creatures and then a rushed ending which didn't make much sense. Sorry won't be carrying on with the series.

A so so thriller novella. Was expecting a bit more about the characters, the games night (a little miss leading), the reasoning behind the murder was lacking and the ending was disappointing.
Needed a short read, and this was OK.

I'm going with a 4⭐ as this is very much my kind of book. Thrift shop, creepy dolls with their own personalities and a MFC who think she's going nuts. Can't wait to get into this series and meet the dolls.

Interesting little book about the umbrella of paganism, candle magic and spells.
The premise of this book had a lot of potential and grabbed my attention. Up until the middle of the book I quite liked it. A creepy town, lots of clocks ticking out of sinc, strange characters and an issue with time itself. Then it all went south. I DNFd the book at 55%. A week later I decided to try and finish it and I did but it was painful. It was repetitive, I began to feel I'd already read the page. I completely lost any hope of trying to picture a scene of any sort. All the characters seemed to dissappear, and the amount of times the word TIME was used was unreal. This is book 1 of 3 and tbh, I don't think I'll be reading the other 2. Sadly I did not enjoy this at all as it left me thinking wth happened 🤷🏻♀️
1⭐ for the idea and the beginning.

A so so re imagining of Jekyll and Hyde. Angry teenagers, curses and rituals at a university based in the North of England.
I read the reviews and so many people were commenting on things that were hardly mentioned and had I not known about would have easily overlooked (cat scene hardly worth a mention, asexuality mentioned once). A lot of nit picking in my opinion.
I preffered Every Exquisite Thing (Dorian Grey retelling) but not a bad read.

Fast paced, lot of spice, not a lot of deep story but a fun read. I had this on audio and I have book 3 in pb so I guess I'll have to get bk 2 to follow on the story of our hacker Jessie and the 4 Ryan brothers. Note this book does end on a cliff hanger and not a stand alone.
If you're looking for a deep plot then this isn't the book, but if you want a reverse harem with humour then enjoy.
