Literally fuck these people oh my god…

I absolutely hated the dynamic between the love interests. I hated the way he spoke to her, and I hated how she was always treated like a child by everyone around her. The book took a really weird turn around 70% where it tried to have a plot that wasn’t just how fucking horny the main characters were for each other-which didn’t work. It wasn’t too awful, but there were enough points where I almost dnfed to make me kind of hate it.

I don’t quite have the words for this right now, but I might later. Just know that I loved it a lot, and have never binge read a series of any length like this.

This was amazing!!! Very torn between 4.25 and 4.5, but I think I’m going to give it 4.5.

This was a gift from my parents for Christmas, and I’m very glad I impulsively bought myself the sequel already. I’ve already recommended it to like, three other people I know.

Rachel Gillig has an absolute gift for creating a vivid scene with her writing. Each description of a scent or feeling felt as though I was there myself. The world building was rich but not heavy handed, and the magic system was one of the most imaginative I’ve ever read.

Absolutely cannot wait to read more by her, and this was just her debut?!

I woke up at 4:45 this morning and after ten minutes of trying to fall asleep, I just went on my phone. After a while of that I grabbed my kindle (which desperately needs to be charged) and browsed what books I had on there that I hadn’t yet read.

I wasn’t in the mood to start anything huge, so I read this. And I sobbed like a baby for the entirety of it. I don’t think I can bring myself to rate this, because any star rating (even one, because I was miserable reading it) feels appropriate.

Jesus FUCK this felt unbelievably long.

I absolutely adore Nestas character. She is unarguably my favorite of the three archeron sisters, and I really enjoyed her dynamic with Cassian. I think my main issues with this book all happen within that last stretch of it, the part four. Up until then, I had really enjoyed the book, but some of the decisions SJM made with the characterization of characters like Rhysand and Amren felt so detached from previous books that it made it hard to continue.

Overall, I really enjoyed Nesta’s character arc, but I have very conflicting feelings. 3.5 for now, potentially lower as I let this marinate in my brain.

P.S. @molly00, happy new year!!! I tried finding you on Pinterest again but the filter won’t work 😭😭 my wifi is so effed rn, I’ll try again later!!

Definitely enjoyed this, as I do all of Fredrik Backman’s work. It was sweet, a little nonsensical, and the humor was deliciously dry. I guess my only huge gripe with this was that I wish it had been a little longer, honestly!! This was a very good short story, but I could absolutely read a whole book of this.

Idk. It was decently cute, but it lacked a little extra something that Ali Hazelwood always puts that makes her books so good.
Male love interest was also so fucking gross. Like I understand that sometimes boys are just like that™️ but jesus

“A scar is never the same as good flesh, but it stops the bleeding” (843).

This trilogy was beautifully crafted, and I adored Fitz. I think a lot of people I’ve seen dunking on this book expected him to be a very typical heroine who gets the girl and saves the world; but he’s never been that. Ever since the very first chapter, Fitz has stood out as a completely unique character who I connected so deeply with. He had the most perfect ending for him that I could have imagined.

I am so so excited to dive head first into the Liveship Trader’s series next, but I think I need a brief break to recover. Robin Hobb, you absolute genius MONSTER! ARGH!

Unable to put this into words, but it was sickening in the most wonderful way. I was absolutely on the edge of my seat the entire time, and I just adored Kate.

FfffffffddffffuuuuuUUCCCCKK. FUCK!!!! AUGHH THIS WAS SO GOOD.

I adored the dry and sometimes bleak humor used throughout this, and Ryland’s internal dialogue was wonderful. I just adored everything about this book, even the parts that made literally no fucking sense because I have never learned an ounce of physics!!!!!
