“A scar is never the same as good flesh, but it stops the bleeding” (843).
This trilogy was beautifully crafted, and I adored Fitz. I think a lot of people I’ve seen dunking on this book expected him to be a very typical heroine who gets the girl and saves the world; but he’s never been that. Ever since the very first chapter, Fitz has stood out as a completely unique character who I connected so deeply with. He had the most perfect ending for him that I could have imagined.
I am so so excited to dive head first into the Liveship Trader’s series next, but I think I need a brief break to recover. Robin Hobb, you absolute genius MONSTER! ARGH!
