I’ve never been a huge fan of historical fiction, but this book was amazing. I like how it showed the bad and I liked the idea of Death narrating it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a negative review but also I don’t really read other people’s reviews on books.

I ugly sobbed for like 30 minutes when I finished this book—at school. My mom also read it but she didn’t ugly sob, but it was heartbreaking.

This book is a total soul crushed but in a beautiful “Oh myngodbtat was one of the best books I’ve ever read I want to die” way

Don’t remember what this was about but I remember really liking it

This book pulled me out of a major reading slump, I was absolutely absorbed in it, I literally stayed up until like butt ass early in the morning on a school night to finish it which didn’t really effect how ‘energetic’ I was during the day which I found odd but anyways that’s unimportant .
If you want lying government and lying church and weirdo kid (I have no clue how old he was) befriends and old guy and seaside and fog this is a good book
Maybe not great if you’ve got thalassaphobia like really bad because they spend a lot of time with water and ocean
slow-paced
