I picked it up because I like mythology books, and this story is familiar but made cute. A bit to hard on the oh look history almost forgot about her in Part III but I'll let that slide.

This was a fun read, the viewpoint of the older people gives it a more soothing tone dan the average murder mystery story. The different viewpoints are nice, it is a bit frustrating tho that not everything is completely uncovered but we are supposed to believe that what and how everything happend is for the better. Not sure if I am going to do the sequel. I'll see later.

Short stories of Sherlock is a bit overwhelming. You switch so fast between one issue and the next. So I had to take a breather between stories sometimes. The stories do give room for little anecdotes and a further view into Sherlock his life on which many a show has been made. And also gives some failures or false deductions, showing even the detective is not always right.

I'm new to the thriller genre so I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, not so much new, but usually its just Stephen King books and they are just a different vibe.

So I started this book and was a bit annoyed with Fern. It takes a while to get settled into her head. Later I realized
Spoiler it was necessary for something to be "wrong" with Fern so you start the first half of the book on the wrong foot
. I was halfway in when I started feeling that something was off. It was also the point where I was like how is this a thriller?

In the end I'm still not sure if it was the thriller that I wanted it to be. But with my family I'm not sure if I have a realistic view of what is horrible. I have an ostracized aunt that is very much like Rose with whom I have had the pleasure of speaking for a few months last year, but I cut myself from that dynamic swiftly.

Sherlock but from a long long time ago where the biggest group of learned men could be found in a church related setting. I felt a bit lost the first half, the story seemed to go multiple ways and I felt unsure as to what details were okay to forget and which needed to be known for the ending. The puzzle was nice, the ending a bit unexpected. And heartbreaking if you love books.

It's a nice read, I had hoped for a bit more Asian culture weaved into the story telling. It has a lot of classic YA story. Banished one seeking freedom, while she learns and trains to become greatness she falls in love with two men who love her back but can't.

What I did like is that the story closes. I was a bit fearfull to start it as the sequel wasn't out yet, but it doesn't end with a cliffhanger.

It was like being back at uni reading about a bunch of studies from which no definitive conclusions can be derived. Half the book is just rambling and thoughts, it doesn't really go anywhere. I was hoping for something funny and lighthearted, this wasn't it for me.

I can see where it comes from, but the way it is divided over the women doesnt really work for me. Most important about this book is to give a good setting of the time and that newspaper love a good scandal any day. To set the scene, the first chapter are a bit long, and it just feels like why does the first woman get more storytime than the fifth. It just seems so short at the end.

What was that... Like... What?

I have seen the movie, it's been a while tho. Someone i thought i was prepared for this because, well, the movie is pretty bloody. But this goes way beyond that. I rarely remember parts of a book so vividly but some of this horror is now seared into my brain. Very distributing, very well done.
