The Good Sister
by Sally Hepworth
I'm new to the thriller genre so I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, not so much new, but usually its just Stephen King books and they are just a different vibe.
So I started this book and was a bit annoyed with Fern. It takes a while to get settled into her head. Later I realized. I was halfway in when I started feeling that something was off. It was also the point where I was like how is this a thriller?
In the end I'm still not sure if it was the thriller that I wanted it to be. But with my family I'm not sure if I have a realistic view of what is horrible. I have an ostracized aunt that is very much like Rose with whom I have had the pleasure of speaking for a few months last year, but I cut myself from that dynamic swiftly.

it was necessary for something to be "wrong" with Fern so you start the first half of the book on the wrong footIn the end I'm still not sure if it was the thriller that I wanted it to be.
