I wanted to do an audio book to entertain me during walks, so I chose one that has a narrator I love. So that part was awesome, the story was alright. It's very much a coming of age story and well written, but for me it just do anything. It wasn't new, it wasn't interesting, it was a bit boring in terms of story. The way it was written is excellent, you can feel the emotions. But in the end it just left me at 'okay'

wonderfully horrible predicatble smut, just what I needed

I like the easy writing style. It has been a number of stories within stories, but it's alright. I think the trend will be to start the sisters history way a couple of hunderd years back. But it brings more romance to the books.

I like the digs into the past, but dear god these girls are so pure and sacred. This one did have a nice twist to it. But at some point it must have become a sport for the author to make different reasons for the girls being up for adoption.

It's funny that you hear things about these sisters, but you have no idea what they look like until you get to their book. I liked the backstory, but I am getting a bit tired of the fascinating great grandmothers and the plain poor choosing woman who are the actual mother.

The sisters are getting more contrast, but they are all so reasonable and 'grown up' that the end where we meet the 6th sister kinda ripped me out of a sense of safety. They have been warning me for 5 books in a row that the 6th is going to be a force of nature... here we go.

Even when she tries to make a problem case, they turn around and are a dream. Everything just goes so down the right way for these girls. I was expecting a bit more of a cliffhanger regarding the 7th sister for the book that has not been published yet... But, still have to wait another year for that one.

Sometimes you just got to pick up a classic to see what all the fuss was about. And considering this one was once banned, I had something spicier in mind regarding race issues. It is only because the N word was used, but that reflects the time period in this case.

It's a story about young boys and the mischief they get up to. There is a bit of a main theme to the story, but just as the boys the story line is easily distracted by whatever a day may bring. It feels like realistic story writing, and the side stories are just as thrilling as the main plot.
