The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
by Mark Twain
Sometimes you just got to pick up a classic to see what all the fuss was about. And considering this one was once banned, I had something spicier in mind regarding race issues. It is only because the N word was used, but that reflects the time period in this case.
It's a story about young boys and the mischief they get up to. There is a bit of a main theme to the story, but just as the boys the story line is easily distracted by whatever a day may bring. It feels like realistic story writing, and the side stories are just as thrilling as the main plot.
