This story tries hard to have a good mix of facts and Washington as a person and it succeeds throughout most of the book. The speed that the book had during the man's presidency is a bit too fast for my taste and lacks what Washington was actually doing (more about what other people we've fighting about and how he reacted)

Very factual book, was looking for some more in dept knowledge regarding character, personality. The book is very flat now and mainly focuses on his great achievements, work spirit and intellect. I would have liked more insight in his character flaws as well.

I really liked the perspective of the story for this book, but the title is misleading. I get that it's a play on the musical, but the Schuyler Sisters Love Life might have been a better title. Hamilton is hardly in the picture and written correspondence between the two characters is very minimal. Enjoyed the story, gave me a few good chuckles and all over it's a feel good novel even though it all takes part during a war.

It is an okay prequel to the lion witch and wardrobe, but if you know what the end result is going to be it becomes very easily to guess what happens next.
Also, Lewis is lacking creativity, almost all his books contain some weird queen

I'm not sure how everybody else is feeling, but I think the movie adaptation did this book justice. I haven't seen the movie in years, but I could almost see it play out again as I was reading.

Loved all the perspectives that this book gives. It is a bit of a feminist book because of the focus on what women can do when they have been limited. Patience does seem to be a virtue to that accord here.
Even though it may seem wrong, I found it easier to empathize with the Gilead woman than with the Canadian. The contrast that was created between then might have been a bit too much.
Best sequel in a long time, good pace and nice attention to detail.

Not the best so far but a decent book. Very predictable plot, horse might be the first name in the title but he is not the main character, would have been more fun if the book was from his point of view

When you get into the Narnia Chronicles, the stories become predicatable. It was fun to have the old gang back but the journey went very smooth, if a fault was made it could be corrected later on. And they had to leave so soon, which seems just unrealistic to me, I would stay yet again for 50 years and then go back to being a child again

This one had some proper adventure in it and perfectly sound twists. I loved how each island gave a new adventure, some big and some small. The beginning did have me fearing a bit, as I did not like the idea of a book with a whining person in it, but that resolved rather quickly and the way that it was resolved was marvelous. The ending felt unfisihed for me, I wanted the boat to return to Narnia but there wouldnt have been much adventure in that, just gay merry people, and that isnt very exciting.

I really like Greek mythology but I am happy that more modern writing is available for this topic. If you're a novice, don't start with this book. It is all over the place, gives no tense as to who is who and why he is who. It mainly bothers me when story a transfers to story b. If you know some background, the links are logical, but if you are not or if your knowledge is rusty it's like a story about a drunken night out: we had a few drinks, Tom climbed on the DJ boot, one thing lead to another and more my cat is pregnant.
