Fun story, not the best in the series but I am starting to really appreciate how Lewis makes characters grow. And I understand the cutting off when they get too mature, it's nice to have heroes who make mistakes which they have to fix.
Well I didn't see that ending coming. Considering the title of the book I was expecting a grand fierce battle but in that aspect I was a bit disappointed. The children seemed less needed in this story. It was nice to have new mythical creatures in here like the unicorn and Tash.
It was a fun read, but got a bit tedious towards the end. It's nice that they got out of the hard times, but as soon as money was less of an issue the tension left the book.
I really liked the idea of a coming of age novel for a woman in the middle of her life. It is beautiful to see how everything seems to run smoothly and organized, until a small change leads to a whirlwind. The ease with which lifestyle and views are changed is admirable.
It's not an easy read, the romantic parts (be it the love for a woman, child, man or else) are wonderfully captivating. Descriptions of battlefields and whatnot are the opposite. This is one classic where I see the use of having an abridged version.
But the story itself is wonderful, especially the end where you as a reader know everything and everyone and it all comes together. Left me with a very happy feeling.

This book was marvelous. The different perspectives, the characters, the magic. Everything is intertwined and nothing is predictable. Well, some things can be guessed but nothing is certain until you read it black on white.
If you want to be taken to a different point if view and love a bit if enchantment, this story is simply wonderful.

Well that was a rollercoaster. Only down side was that when you were getting ready for a loopdieloop, it didn't happen XD.
Loved the story, the way it was written was so nice, good pace. Change of scenery made it completely acceptable to be such a thick book. I love how Neil his stories can be right on the border of reality and fantasy, making you question what if...

Good story, very well made. The last 3 deaths were a bit anti climatic. I knew the rhythm would change, but a bit more thriller instead of psychology would have suited the story better for me. Overall wonderful novel.
I love this silly old belgium dectective. And just how nice of a man he is who never takes all the credit even though it is due to him.
The story is a lot faster than I remember. Some parts, I had completely forgotten. It's still nice to escape to Hogwarts from find to time.
