Yo, Robin did THAT! I was holding my breath the whole time—she really came with the heat on this one.
Kairo Steele? Whew. That man is a walking enigma. Smooth, powerful, and lowkey dangerous. He’s got that boss energy, but he’s missing one thing—a real one to match his vibe. ‘Cause what he got right now? Nah, that ain’t it. Kairo needs a queen who can handle the weight of his world and still keep him grounded.
Enter Savanna Heartz. Sis has been THROUGH it—childhood trauma that would break most, but she turned her pain into power. She’s thriving, young, and living her best life. Got a man, yeah... but her heart? It’s craving something real, something deep.
And here comes Kairo, pulling up with steady pressure, no games. He’s complicated, but the way he steps to Savanna? Chef’s kiss. The tension, the passion, the vibes—whewwww!

A Bit Dark, and A Lot of Sweet!
From the second Menace swaggered onto the page, I knew I needed to get deep into that deliciously twisted mind of his because he had Tasha shook in Capri 3.5. Jahquel doesn’t just write morally grey characters—she paints them in every shade of messy, flawed, and so damn human you can't help but root for them. Menace Casseli? Whew.
I love him and understand him a lot more after this book. This man was robbed of boyhood and dumped headfirst into the brutal world of manhood with no lifejacket or someone to lean on. And it shows—in the best, most bone-chilling way. He’s all edges, precision, and control—only moves when the blueprint’s been double-checked.
Stevie? She's absolutely wonderful with her quirky personality but she's also lost since her favorite person gained angel wings. She's definitely the last person who should have anything to do with Menace. She’s too soft, too sunshine, too not-him. But baby, try telling him that after he seen her for the first time!
From start to finish, Stevie and Menace had me howling, swooning, and fanning myself like I was watching a forbidden slow-burn on steroids. Their chemistry? Chef’s kiss. Their banter? HILARIOUS. Their love? Grown and gorgeously unforced. The way they gave each other space to just be—ugh, my heart.
Now, don’t go in expecting a full-blown dark romance with chains and dungeons just because there’s a lil’ "kidnapping" plotline. No ma’am. This ain’t that. This is a soft, swoony, soul-warming romance starring a brooding ninja with a heart he didn’t even know he had.
Read it. Love it. Then thank Menace for the emotional whiplash. You'll love Mavie and Wonder!

Okay, let’s talk! This was my first Briyanna Michelle read and babyyy… I’m officially a fan! But I've told her this on IG a few times now lol!
From what I learned this is Briyanna’s first dip into the paranormal romance game... Baby ain't no way because, she dove in headfirst and came up with magic. Give this woman ALL her flowers, okay?
As a certified lover of all things paranormal and lovey-dovey, this book ate. I was hooked from page one—like, giggling, kicking my feet, blushing, and talking to the book like it could hear me. Kassidy and Luciano? Oh, they had me in a chokehold. Their chemistry? Top-tier. I need a whole series. Spin-offs. Bonus chapters. Give me everything. Their character energy is so addictive, I was simping HARD for Kassidy. Like, I was on my couch yelling “Girl, you better get your man!” That moment in the bathroom... Mhm!
Long story short: Read the book because you'll become a Briyanna Michelle fan too!

Listen… this was my first Aubreè read and babyyyy, consider me a fan for life!
Naji wanna leave the streets alone but can’t keep his eyes—or his heart—off Syrenna. And Syrenna? Whew. She was raised like the first-born son, not the delicate little flower she looks like or like her father likes to pretend she is. Sis is out here duckin’ and dodgin’ love like it's gunfire, ready to shoot her way out of anything that sirs feelings or seems too real. But you know how it goes—the heart gon’ heart regardless.
This book had everything! A little love, a little lust, whole lotta drama, some unaliving (yup), betrayal, secrets on secrets… but what really hit was the sisterhood vibe and that ride-or-die mama who would throw hands with anybody, even the Don, for her daughters. I was HERE for all of it.
Now, I didn’t read the other books tied to this fam before jumping in, honestly I didn't check to see...the cover is what snagged my attention but it still flowed smooth for me. Only thing? There were a few typos here and there that had me side-eyein’, but it didn’t kill the overall vibe. I rocked with the characters and loved how Aubreè brought their story to life. I'm definitely tryna see what else she got cookin’.

TAAHESI!!! BABY, WHAT AN ENTRANCE. YOU DID THAT LOVE!
Carmen and Theo? Yeah… they got me. Their story is that kind of messy-beautiful, soul-tugging rollercoaster that had me clutching my chest and screaming into my pillow (in the best way). Carmen is THAT girl—gorgeous, headstrong, mad smart—but she’s out here fighting to believe she’s worthy of the dreams she’s chasing. The world’s been loud with the wrong kind of noise about her, but she’s pushing through, chin up, even when she doesn’t feel like she deserves the light. So many times I wanted to wrap her up in a tight hug but also? She don’t need saving. She’s a whole force.
And then we got Theo… sweet, soft, big-hearted Theo. He’s a literal teddy bear wrapped in quiet strength, just tryna shake off all the labels people love to slap on him. Watching them both go head-to-head with their own minds, their trauma, their insecurities—it was raw, real, and painfully beautiful. Like, I yelled. Out loud. Several times.
They deserve the entire universe and Taahesi?? You ate with these characters. So layered, so lovable, so human. I felt every damn word.
10/10. First book out the gate and you already snatched my heart. Can’t wait for more—keep cookin', queen!

Listen… I LOVE a man who stands on business, and Dreaux? Oh, he was THAT dude. From the jump, their intro was a little left field—but somehow, it just worked. The connection Dreaux and Asya built felt mad genuine, like one of those "you just feel it in your soul" type bonds. And the way they kept calling each other out on the games? Yeah, I was HERE for it. Sometimes you really do just know.
Now that little Mink situation? A slight hiccup, but honestly—it didn’t shake my love for them. They were locked in, period.
And the cameos? ICONIC. Dutch, Drix, Promise popping in gave it that extra spice. And don’t get me started on lil DJ—absolute cutie patootie. And the way Poppy and the crew held it DOWN for Asya? 10 toes, no questions asked. Loyalty on full display.
Also… Trap’s story? Yeah, I need that like yesterday. And lowkey? I’m peepin’ something between Milani and Supreme. I feel like there’s a vibe brewin’ there. Don’t play with me!

Ummmm so yeah … I lowkey LOVED this book! It had me in a chokehold from page one.
Two things though, I really wish the characters were just a bit older — I think that would've helped me stay locked in without giving side-eye at some of the plot. But that's my fault for not reading the synopsis and second, there were a few parts where the writing got a lil’ muddled and choppy — I was sittin’ there like, “Wait a sec, what’s really goin’ on?” But that’s nothin’ a good edit can’t clean up.
STILL… this story was a whole vibe! Dark, gritty, suspenseful — and exactly the kinda wild ride I crave. Plus, let’s be real… B.B. Reid is always a good time for me! She never shies away from takin’ risks, and I love her for that. I’m already geeked for book two, and I’m definitely locked in!

BABY, I Was NOT Ready!
Robin, girl… you SNAPPED with this one. Book one fire, but book two?! Straight up chaos, betrayal, and tea hotter than lava! You took me through it!
This backstory between the families had me squintin’—but once the dots started connecting? Whew! Kairo and Savanna are straight products of generational drama, but they ridin’ for each other like no other. Loyalty on ten!
JADA... Smh just eww!
It's so much I want to say...in detail because the way things were coming out and the people popping up and the connections and that ending!!!
Bottom line: PART 3 can’t come fast enough! Robin, you got me pacing the floor waiting. Let’s gooooo!

Akira x Drill= Wheww!
Y’all… I had such a good time reading this one! Especially the spicy scenes—whew! Drill was not playing with Akira AT ALL. He talked her through every. single. moment. And when I say every one…I mean just that!
Now...Corbin! Bruh, is you coo! My favorite but the craziest, wildest part—Akira’s ex. Why was he on FaceTime while Drill had her up on that bathroom counter?! I was cryinggg. Like sir, hang up the phone and go! You do not need to witness that!
But if I’m being real, outside of those steamy parts, the story didn’t really hold my attention like that. It had potential, but it just didn’t fully pull me in. I only read it because it was recommended to read before Drill Session

LISTENNNN… it’s BIG Demon, not the lil one!
That man is unhinged, unpredictable, and a certified problem—but one thing about him? He’s 100% HIM every single time. No faking, no fronting, no filters. He’s loud, raw, and real—and honestly? I respect it. You may not like how he moves, but he never pretends to be something he’s not.
Unlike Cortez… whew chile. That man is giving fraud energy. I rolled my eyes so hard at him, I almost gave myself a headache. He’s the type to smile in your face and plot behind your back—and I’m over it!
And let’s talk about these ladies real quick—because babyyyy… every single female character had me side-eyeing hard, EXCEPT Kendall & EM. Them two?! They got some sense, some style, and a lil’ softness mixed with savage, and I’m here for it. Everybody else? Do better, respectfully.
Even with all the chaos and eye-rolls, I’m locked in. This reload got me HOOKED. The mess, the tension, the drama—it’s giving just enough to keep me flipping pages and ready for more.
So yeah… on to Book 2 because I need answers, drama, and Big Demon doing what Big Demon does best—terrorizing everybody and looking fine while doing it!
