The House mixtapes? Never miss. Ms. House knows exactly how to wield that pen—every word drips with heat, passion, and undeniable sensuality. When it comes to crafting scenes that are not just steamy, but downright intimate, she’s got it on lock. But what makes these mixtapes even more addictive? The thrill of guessing which couple from the Housedom is about to heat things up next. Every story delivers the perfect balance of old favorites and fresh drama, letting us in on those intimate moments we can’t get enough of. And let’s be real: getting updates on our beloved couples feels like the best kind of reunion—intense, electric, and full of raw energy.

The Love Galore mixtape? Straight-up scorching. Revisiting these couples in these short (but oh-so-steamy) stories had me hooked from the first page. When Neil and Sage made their return? My jaw hit the floor. This mixtape doesn’t just show you intimacy—it drags you into it, giving you a seat at the table while they heat things up. And baby, it’ll leave you wanting more.

If Alexandria House isn’t known for anything else, she’s definitely the queen of writing sex scenes that’ll have you blushing, sweating, and thinking about them long after you’ve closed the book. Each track serves up a new update from our beloved couples, but this time? They're making sure you get the full experience—raw, steamy, and unapologetic. The best part? You’re left guessing who’s up next until the very last second, and when the reveal hits? It’s like a punch to the gut. A quick, fiery read that'll keep you on edge and craving more.

Baaaaybeeeey!!! Whew, this mixtape was a whole experience.

Alexandria House came through with heat, heart, and heavy passion. Each story in this mixtape is a sensual knockout—short, but dripping in intensity like a full-length love affair. The buildup? Delicious. The chemistry? Off-the-charts. The spice? Baby, scorching.

House doesn’t just write sex scenes—she crafts full-bodied, emotionally charged moments that wrap around you and don’t let go. The kind that make you blush, squirm, and hold your breath while flipping the pages like your life depends on it.

Catching up with fan-favorite couples made it even hotter. These weren’t just glimpses—they were front-row seats to the grown, sexy, and deeply intimate lives of characters we already love. And somehow, she makes every word feel fresh, raw, and necessary.

This mixtape wasn’t just fire. It was arson. Alexandria House did what needed to be done—and I’m already fiendin’ for the next hit.

Okay, let’s talk about it—this last book? Straight fire. That whole Bishop situation? Whewww, the drama was juicy and had me clutching my imaginary pearls. The buildup, the fallout, the emotion? Top tier. The Mixtape Series really knows how to spin a story with soul.

What really hit me was the character development—Symphani and Frequency showed up and showed out. Their growth was beautiful, raw, and so damn real. You feel every twist in their journey, like you right there with them, heart wide open.

Just like the first two books, I got completely lost in their world. The vibes, the culture, the energy—it’s all Black excellence and authenticity from cover to cover. It’s not just a story—it’s an experience. You hear the rhythm in the words, feel the pulse of the streets, and catch the heat in every connection.

And babyyyy, that cliffhanger? I’m stressed in the best way. I need that next book like yesterday.

The Mixtape Series is hands-down my favorite series of 2025 so far. Period. Five stars, no skips, all vibes. bold and urban and like a five star read

Drill and Akira are back at it again, y’all! Another spicy lil' drill session on deck! But whew—what really goes down when your sneaky link starts feelin’ like more than just a "fun time"? Yup, our fave duo is out here deep in their feelings, tryna play it cool while lowkey catching hella emotions.

I was so pressed to see how their wild ride would wrap up—especially after I devoured Drippin’ for Santa! Let me just keep it a buck: this one is straight-up erotica first, plot second. So if you’re pulling up looking for a deep, twisty storyline? Mmm, don’t. But if you’re here for that hot, steamy, messy kinda love with just the right sprinkle of vulnerability? Baby, you’re in the right spot. Drill and Akira gave us moments, okay? And when they drop the act and really let those walls down? That’s where the magic hit for me.

Hot, messy, tender, and oh-so-satisfying. Period.

This Series Got Me Hooked!

This series is fire! I can't put it down. It’s giving love, messy drama, and real hood action—everything you want in a page-turner.

I’m sitting here trying to figure out who’s behind all this mess...because who's sending stuff UNKNOWN!?? I’m side-eyeing Al for sure... something’s off with him. But we all know how the Demons roll, and Big Demon? He’s definitely on demon time when it comes to Lo-Lo. I’m all in for that energy!

I’m so glad Lorie got another shot at motherhood. I love the bond between her and Em. Everything happens for a reason, and after what Cortez did, she deserves all the good things Kentrell provides for her. But Austin? He’s bitter and just can’t let go, and it’s killing me to watch because I know he's a snake!

I’m ready for the next book—this is about to go down, and I’m here for all of it. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC!

4 stars!

This book had me in a chokehold. What starts out kinda soft and slow blooms into this beautifully messy, emotional rollercoaster of a romance—and I was HERE for it.

Tegan and Heath? The chemistry was simmering from page one. Even when they were just “friends,” I was side-eyeing my Kindle like sure, Jan. The tension, the history, the grief—they were both going through it, but the way their connection pushed through all that pain? Gorgeous.

I’m a sucker for dual POV, and this one delivered. Seeing both of them wrestle with their own demons while slowly finding their way back to each other felt so real. No insta-love, no quick fix—just two people doing the emotional work (and yes, making me scream at my screen in the process).

Special shoutout to Jeremy and Levi, the two besties who did not come to play. The way they showed up for Tegan? Iconic. Give them their own novella, please.

This story had heat, heart, and just the right amount of angst. It gave me all the feels and then some. Definitely one of those romances that lingers with you in the best way.

This was such a surprise of a read. I’m still pretty new to historical fiction, and this was my first book by Angela Jackson-Brown—but her writing completely drew me in.

Set in 1967 Alabama, the story follows Katia, a woman who’s spent her whole life showing up for others—her family, the boys at the group home where she works, and just about everyone around her. She’s steady, selfless, and quietly strong. But underneath that, there’s a softness she’s kept hidden for a long time. When someone from her past reappears, it forces her to reckon with the idea that maybe she doesn’t have to carry everything alone.

While there’s definitely romance, what stood out most to me was Katia’s personal journey. Learning to accept love and support after being the strong one for so long? That hit home. Her story was tender and real, and I honestly didn’t expect to be so moved—but I found myself tearing up more than once.

Katia is a character I’ll think about for a while. This book is full of heart, and it made me want to slow down and sit with my own feelings, too.

Can’t wait to read more from this author.

Only 60 pages? Cool. Sis made it 60 pages of straight heat!

Robin’s pen is sharp-sharp, and her love for the Demon fam? Whew—it oozds off every page. Dinner with the Demons might be short, but it packed all the juicy updates, wild turns, and holiday messiness I never knew I needed in my life in April lol. One minute I was cheesin’, next minute I was yellin’ “wait, WHAT?!” and clutchin’ my fake pearls like I wasn’t ready. Because the tea was hot!

Loire and Kentrell? Yeah, I’m fully obsessed. They’re back with that chaotic, ride-or-die love story, and while they’re tryna be soft and solid, the past just won't sit down. This snowy Christmas gathering? Weddings, secrets and drama that wouldn't quit. Because let’s be honest—when the Demons get together, something’s always about to pop off. I learned that in book one..lol

But through all the mess? That family bond holds. Every. Single. Time.

It’s fast, it’s fiery, and it’s full of that signature Robin magic. If you’re tapped into this series, you already know. And if you’re not? You’re late—but there’s still time to catch up.

I’m having the best time working through her catalog. It’s giving everything.

I'm low-key kicking my own behind for waiting so long to read this book! I’m so happy I got the audio to read along with the physical copy!

Legendborn doesn’t just tell a story — it reclaims one.
From the first page, you're sucked into a fierce, beautiful reimagining of Arthurian legend through Bree’s eyes — a brilliant, grieving Black girl fighting for more than herself.

I'm not even going to front, I struggled early on — truthfully it was Bree’s first ancestral walk with Patricia that truly stole my heart!

The way Rootwork is woven into the story — deep, tender, full of generational power — is breathtaking. Bree’s magic isn’t just about spells or bloodlines; it’s about honoring the grief and strength of those who came before her. And that made every moment after hit even harder for me. The way it's uplifted instead of demonized, chef's kiss!

The world Deonn builds feels rich, real, and inclusive at its core.
Queer and trans characters aren’t just present — they matter. Greer, William, Alice — each one made Bree’s journey feel even bigger, even brighter.

And somehow, in the middle of all the monsters, magic, and rebellion, there’s also a love triangle that actually made me care. (Still #TeamBree — her happiness is what matters most!)

At its heart, Legendborn is a story about loss, love, and rising up anyway.
It’s about rooting yourself in who you are — and in who came before you.

I can’t recommend it enough.
