😑😑😑I wanted to love this book so much but...it just put me in an awkward position.Idk if the main idea was to advocate for women's mental health by displaying that women also suffer deeply from situations that might seem normal to most people...or maybe the writer was tryna say that women are strong,but it's the world around them that is shitty and that they're allowed to get away with bizarre things they do just because...💀💀💀
I honestly don't know where I was going with this one, unfortunately.
2 stories stick out to me though...& No!
It's not because I enjoyed them so much 
It is because these are the 2 stories that I probably hated most from this collection.

•The one were the mother values work more than her newly born baby's welfare...so much so that she contemplates killing the child on numerous occasions.  (LESLEY In therapy)
         &
•The one where the movie director (I think)...kept fishing for stories from the people working for her.And no,she wasn't looking for a fluffy story...she wanted them to remember  the most painful memories of their life so that she can use their emotions for her benefit.I was angry at this lady....I personally find such people inconsiderate and evil.I think people should learn to leave people's most intimate memories TF alone

As entertaining as this was...this was also a very disturbing read for me.I don't call it that just because of the "eating disorder" thing but  overall the toxic environment that our lead character "VAL" grew up in.
It is hard for me to judge this read because I can't put myself in Val's shoes... it's nerve racking to do so and even if I did I do not believe I would be able to comprehend what she was going through.Val's story is one that teaches us to make a stand for ourselves wherever we might be.We need to be able to voice out our fears,joys and grievances.It is a story that teaches us that having an unhealthy connection to food might not only be detrimental to our health but might also affect our relationships with all people around us.
I loved that Val had Jordan and her Aunt to always lean on.I loved that Val didn't destroy herself but instead looked for professional help.I LOVE THAT VICTORIA YING WROTE THIS BOOK♥️

So here is the thing....I love LOVE 𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐀𝐍.He is such a manly man🤭🤭🤭.I loved how he was so vulnerable & open with the people in his life.It was so adorable how he wasn't afraid to share his weaknesses with Scarlet & the way he took accountability for every single time he fell short....Honestly HE was my fav part of this book.❤❤❤
I had mixed feelings about reading books by Ana Huang but I must admit I am happy that I picked this up...I had high expectations for this read and I wasn't disappointed.It made me feel so many things but a winner for me was that it made me laugh.
What I hated about this book was how unnecessarily long it was😩😩and how the author kept feeding us tales about how Vincent & Asher hated each other...that was torture!!

This book is what I'd call a lost cause... there's no "thriller" element nor is there any part of it that I found hilarious...
Seriously though,what was the point of this book?

This books was a bit heavy and light.I love Whoopi Goldberg as an actress 
Who knew I would love her as a writer?
