.This book was such a delight and a beauty to behold. Every single part of this book was executed so well; the plot, the characters, Jane's writing style, ugh! this book literally Swept me off my Feet,I loved that this book tackled the issue of abandoment with so much grace. my fav part about this read was how every page and chapter put the african culture on display. 80% of all that was talked about in this book felt so close to home. My fav charader in this book was Tiwa.Jane executed her character to perfection. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more books by Jane igharo. This books is perfect for lovers of african contemporary novels and all fans of "Friends to lovers" This is one hell of a book and yes! I highly recommend…..

•the synopsis of this book sounded really intriguing and I was prompted to pick this up. Unfortunately, I found myself bored and annoyed for the most part. This book follows arzhur and aslen.Arzhur is a Fallen knight who is drowning in depression and spends his days drinking and getting into petty Fights. when 3 strange women approach him one day with a deal that not only promises to restore his reputation but could also make him rich, Arzhur decides to take them up on their offer. This particular deal introduces Us to our FMC: Princess Aslen: The princess was banished From her kingdom to atone for her parent's sins. As Interesting as all this may sound the author still managed to disappoint me.Not only did this book give huge Macbeth vibes but the writing style wasn't persuasive enough for me & the characters were Just missing the spank. With that said... didn't end up with a fav character in this book & I will not be recommending this to anyone.

I picked up this book with a lot of expectations most of which aren’t great...But Jada proved me wrong;she not only took responsibility of her fair share/ or the part she played that brought about some of the misfortunes that had befallen her and those around her..She addressed these issues with so much care and compassion for everyone involved.I love the fact that she stuck to the concept of the book——“it was her story to tell and she didn’t complicate it by trying to decipher other people’s feelings or involvement in some situations that scarred her for example that entanglement issue. While she chose to be vulnerable..I love that she respected all those involved and left other parts of the story as it was not her responsibility to share those even though she was actively involved in some of these events “
I love this book.
